Well seeing as the water jets were useless..how many people can you send in to walk over dead bodies to try and rescue people given the wrong advice.Missed this, ofc they borrowed units from Surrey, that is how it works for disasters and out of the ordinary events. They aren't going to have 100 fire engines at every station, sat on the drive (with 100 crews) are they?
They probably didn't send all the London crews either, they still have to maintain cover even when something like this happens.
And now Ill tell you my cousin is a firefighter in London...he was actually on a course up country..but he got back and spokr to the lads, he agrees with me, they are traumatised by their inability to help, stumbling over the dead people who eventually tried to make a run for it.
