My mate has a 15yr old son and he has a girlfriend, they spend most of their time in his room 'watching tv'. The other day she went home with her jumper on inside out and her mum went a bit nuts at her. My mate's son told him that it was very hot in his room as the heating was on so she took her jumper off to keep cool.........and he fucking believed him!!!!!

He told me on the phone and I couldn't speak for laughing so much, he said his son wouldn't lie to him and that they wouldn't get up to anything as he 'respects her'

He also has a 19yr old daughter who has hooked up with 33yr old druggie, who has 3 kids from different girls and has done time for assault on one the ex girlfriends. He has no top teeth in his mouth because they have rotted out due to having coke rubbed into his gums for the last 10yrs

He sounds very old fashioned, or in total denial. My ex's dad was like that, he knew fine his (other) daughter (who was ~15 or so) was getting an absolute roasting but had his fingers in his ears. She was also an experienced underage drinker, and didn't believe that until she ended up in A&E. Even then, he blamed it on her friends' "bad influence" (which was bollocks).

Didnt like yify. THey did 1080p in 2gb and shit sound. I been downloading sparks recently 10gb for a movie.

I watch films on my computer or on my Tablet, I only really use sound quality when it's worth it when I'm at my parents, otherwise it really isn't to be honest.

10gig is a bit OTT for my liking for a film.

I even downloaded Harry Potter from Sky the other day, 2 and a half hours worth of film - 6 gig? How is a film 10gig? :S

Its the sound encodes that make it that large. Dts, etc require a large file size and also they sometimes contain multiple languages

My PC has much better audio than my TV. I have a trusty old 5.1 system from Creative for the PC and a pseudo surround soundbar under the TV (it's pretty lightweight but MUCH better than the TV's built in speakers). If I care about the audio I will watch it on the PC every time. And proper widescreen (2.35:1) films look stupendously good on a 34" 21:9 screen.

Secondly, because I have decent headphones, sound is fine.

I have a 42 inch plasma screen with 5.1 surround and for me you need a big screen and surround for movies.

I dislike headphones as it ruins the immersion for me.
