I picked up half a handful of loose change from my car ashtray and popped into Tesco to get a few items. The ittems came to £3.44. The amount of change I got from my ashtray was exactly £3.44. What are the chances?
Since it happened, obviously 100%
Though if you want to get pedantic .. a back of envelope down the pub calculation:

Lets take a very rough guess that a "handful" of change will be between £1 to £6, so a 500p range.
Since "a few items" at Tescos will probably be in a similar price range, assuming a random distribution, then the chance is about 1 in 500 (a 100 either way doesn't make much difference)
Given one trip to Tescos a week for these small items, that's a 50% chance (0.998 ^ 350 is roughly the first exponent resulting in value < 0.5) of it happening at least once in 7 years of shopping. 90% chance at least once in 22 years.

So lucky but not win the lottery odds lucky.
