I was the same with Thunderbirds, my brother (and everyone else it seemed) was mad for it, I always thought it was terrible, I mean really, really bad TV

Thunderbirds was brilliant. And Thundercats. I watched a clip of the latter on Youtube, it was soooo badly animated but I thought it was the dogs bollocks back in the day.

And you could see her knickers in the intro

judging from the amount of princess-smut I unearthed with a brief google, that intro resonated firmly in to a lot of young minds 0_o

You watched Thunderbirds entirely for the model work, which is still pretty amazing even today. It all went to pieces a bit when any of the characters were on screen. I was more of a Captain Scarlet man myself, actually had a good plot.

Anyone looked at this? Phone app that streams PC games to your phone in 3D for use with phone holding VR headset, seems pretty comprehensive.

I've been thinking about VR and i think the biggest thing i'm waiting for is watching series/movies with it. Absolute immersion with a good headset, no other things in view/heard etc.

Just hoping it'll work well with video playback etc.

Games will be cool and all too, but i sometimes need to see the keyboard, to push weird buttons in the hjkl area etc, so that might be a pain.

VR will be a big thing for PC in the next couple of years. A big thing for peasants in 6 years.

Vr has been touted as the next big thing for the last twenty years or more. Like 3d films. So far just a fad.

To me straping a tv to your head isnt vr. You need the interaction from the rest of your body too.

Reach put a hand and touch stuff in game. Not press a key and see something doing it

Good tho these things are its not vr

Not till thhey make a groinal attachment ;)

There are more atoms in a glass of water than glasses of water in all the oceans of the world

There are more stars in the universe than grains of sand on all the beaches in the world

True but if you then start to add grains of sand in all the deserts its closer than you'd think. Maybe only a million times more (give or take a few orders of magnitude)

Ah the good old Schroedinger equation. I always loved the fact they basically guessed it back at the start of quantum mechanics as it couldn't be worked out from first principles. It's only in relatively recent times than modern theories include derivations of it.

Haven't they just proved that nothing exists till you look at it...which in some ways is related to consciousness, because what is looking and measuring.

Just now my unit tests went green across the board after a day of faffing with databases. Good times!
