possible, but frankly I doubt it. Gaffer's "sitting at the controls just in case" scenario is much more likely, even though the computers will most likely be capable of out-driving the Stig, and be deployed in pairs with battery backup, etc etc etc.

Which would be great, but the reality would probably be a blanket 50mph and you still have to sit at the controls "just in case". I can't imagine a scenario where politicians can't figure out a way to fuck motorists over.

Higher road taxes for faster journeys I would imagine, you know so the rich continue to not have to waste their lives like everyone else.

safety wise they could easily beat humans but one crash would write them all off...people can cope with a few bad drivers..moments of loss concentration...but one car makes a fuk up and they will all have to be checked..its unworkable.

In fact there was a recall on the 5000 due to speed 4 & 5 in anal mode (most realistic) being a bit too 'shocking'. something to do with the 110v to 240v conversion, a few people got burned, literally.

Now the new 5500 plus is a joy, it has an inbuilt compressor for easy inflation, and the surround sound is now 6.1 which can also be linked to Sonas or Airplay.
