Even if Mister Explosiosn doesn't always hit it out of the park, or even hit the ball at all, i wouldn't want anyone else directing it. It would kill the mood of it if it was by, while excellent, John Woo. It's one of those movies where Bays style actually works.

Its amazing what a lick of paint can do; the original red concept looks like a cartoon, paint it grey and make the interior a bit classier and suddenly its something I'd want on the drive. Of course it'll be a hybrid, but that's not the end of the world any more.
