Nah he logged like me when the shaman just ignored us, but thats another thread.

I do hope you stay around for BG2/3 because my SB is feeling left out at the minute (damn me hitting 25 the week before the patch)

I'm sure we'll show you true teamwork when the time comes

A fine night indeed :D only Warbadger came later but his stealth could use a boost to be a real threat :p

A few laggy PA's though - which was punished with a swift death

Good thing you're only there at the weekends Melgar, appriciate it :) Or rathar Melgina :)

You have to be the one thing that hurts the most in there, bloody insane difference between you and the other SBs.

Mind telling how you spec/items and such? Cause it sure cuts the throat out of my armor/stealth, whatever :>

I'll start playing weeknights only I think :>

Aye Brannor, was a lot of fun. To finally reach my 24th season and not be slain so easily by orange eyed shadowblades was most comforting.

I hope the battle continues, for I wish to learn to assassinate better. I feel I am driven too much by adrenaline and not wisdom. Oh if only we could climb the walls of that keep, those cowardly Midgardians would have to retreat to their portal keep, for we do not fear the keep guards.

It was nice to see my first Firbolg. What a pity that he was already dead. :(

One question, who were you? I can recall seeing a few other assassins, but cannot recall all their names.

I was getting lvl 22 with my skald :D

But the Infiltrators are not nice, PA me while mezzed, lucky it disappears next patch.

Brannor you are already becoming a rouge which run around and complains about everything everywhere and taunts the enemy because of being angry of PvE events.

I welcome you to the crowd

Leganza btw have you levelled? Saw you killed someone 2 days ago. :p

Was a blast last night. l was testing my Smite against the middies and the few hibs that showed up from time to time. Was specially fun when l and a thane was smiteing/mjolnir at each other, testing each others strenghts, though he died too fast :D

Don't mess with the church, or you will get hunted by Smite Clerics.
Smite the unbelievers.

Um? ??? What you going on about? ;)

Oh, and Pwyiw (weird name dude, meant to ask what if anything, it means) I can't tell you who I am. Prefer to be permed anon. Otherwise I'd have most of the Mids after me for vengence. :p

Looking forward to hunting with ya again, was a blast.

Hehe, I´m pure 2h-cs specced. 19(+5)stealth, 21(+2)cs, 18axe and the rest in envenom.

But the weapon I use is a real good one. Most sb:s in thid use Njessie 2h axe, but I use the Mourning rage, a 8.3dps/6.0spd 2h axe(OTD in Myrkwood). It´s a perfect oneshotting axe, slow but deadly ;) hitting some infiltrators for 450+dmg

Actually, Melgar, there are better axes than Njessi's and the Mourning Rage. Ravager's Axe (red looking) as well as a Bone Axe are very nice at your level. ;) One of the is +5 axe, and they're both faster.

I remember using them at that level, never used Njessi's, did the quest, and made a weapon for someone else.

Fafnir? Who you calling a Pansy? :twak:

Make that 460 sharp dmg :/

That's what you introduced yourself with to me, 460 fekkin damage to the head :/

And last night when I saw this bluecon caster with his back at us standing there while the others were running and I tried to sneak up I just got 430 to the brains again... care to take a guess from who? :)

Feels kinda sucky when you hit back for bout 200-250 :p

Going to rebuild another inf and try out another style of playing, since if I don't nail an SB with 2 hits i end up getting the wide end of the shaft, apart from one sb, and that's otus, who I've managed to outmelee twice when both missed our initial hits... :p

Brannor, you tell me not who you are, and I tell you not what my name means. ;)

As for my skills and weapons. I use a variety of items found on the Salisbury plains and from a few quests. My weapon of choice is the Embossed Bone Gladius. Of which I have three. Offhand, I wield a Roman stiletto which, albeit blue in colour, is a very fast weapon. The armours I wear are mostly Bloodied leather armour from the undead, also a little below my season.

With the items I wear, and with my training, I am a true assassin.

Stealth: 22+5
Envenom: 20
CS : 22+1
Thrust 1+5

I use the 20th level lethal poison, and most often have a disease serum on my off weapon. With those two, and a succesful critical strike, I can kill a shadowblade. Cabo escaped death many times because I missed my crit. Others died, bleeding and poisoned.

Tonight I shall stalk again. And I hope Sma, Saryasha, Lorenza and whoever you are will join me again as we teach Midgard to fear once more.

Yeah, I'll be there. Gotta poke me some more Middies. Just wish there were more Hibbies. They seemed to arrive one or two at a time.

One thing tho, since I am a noob inf, and never thought about it much before.

How much would using an orange weapon cut off, of the damage of for example PA?

I use two playermade Mithril Gauches, which are orange atm I'm afraid :/

I'll be there to try to smack around a few casters tho ;) And to get smacked by Me... oh wait, she's not here :D, happiness, happiness. :)

I'll just go back to levelling my testee Sarya Le'SLASH ( :) ) for a bit more, lvl 8,3 after 5 hours and 13 minutes, whoever said infils got a hard time levelling? :p

Dont know how it pans out for infs but 2h CS SB's want their axe to be as slow as possible, (something to do with the CS damage being calculated on dps*spd). Again in an ideal world you should be Norse for extra strength to inc your CS even more.

exactly, more spd=more dmg in that case. And the 6.0 on the mourning rage is quite high. I´ve not seen the stats on the other axes Brannor mentions, but I don´t think they got more spd.

Aye, a 15dps something with a 15spd would be kinda cool :>

I'm building my slasher testcase using a Briton :)

Wonder what weaponry one can come up with for lvl 24 tho, and items.. sigh :(

Although slow speed does increase potential damage. Against agile opponents, you may find that you'll miss a lot. This is pure speculation, but kinda logical. But then, who said Mythic knew about logic... :p

6.0 is damn slow - Would compare to an infiltrator PA'ing with a polearm

Iunliten I'm still 23 but most casters is just a touch of a button anyway :)

Aye, well for 24 I'll go hunt down a slow weap for my primary hand, hopefully I'll have high cs and high slash, instead of cs and envenom as i did wish Saryasha... we'll see how it goes :>

Ain't gonna leave no bluecon standing kobold runie standing with 50% hp after PA atleast :p

What +CS gear are there in albland?

Ouch. You must be spec'd bad. Any standing caster yellow or below can expect to die instantly from me, unless his bubble saves him.

At our level, probably only the L15 epic gem which gives +1 to stealth too (and +1 to CS). All you need for stealth, is that gem, the Cloak of Shades quest item (+2), and the Cat Hide Boots from Cheshire (L20 OTD AF50 though - cons orange at L20...take friends) which is +2 as well. That's your cap for L24. After that, you've gotta hunt for a few drops from Keltoi/Skellies. Sadly, never seen anything stealth related drop in Tepok or Catacombs...maybe it was just me.

If you want a heavy, slow weapon, I'm sure there are a lot of crafters out there that could set you up nicely.

Heh, aye tis odd, at 21 I oneshot a orange con kobold caster, standing, and at 24 i don't oneshot a blue one... well.. some blues... but that blue con kobold caster I do have a problem with, he has his anti-Sary gear on I believe.

Hmm, on Sary I got, uhm... shadowhands cloak, cat hide boots, prowler jewel I believe, end up at 28 stealth, 23 base.

Thing was I spent points on stealth instead of CS, due to stealth seemed to be a very important factor at start, its the other way around now tho :p

Doing my slash briton the other way, hope it goes well ;) should hurt some people atleast :)

You gotta get PA (CS21) and base stealth above 20 rocks. Pushes you over the Thid level cap stealth, i.e. Highest around is L24, and your stealth can be 25-29. I was wonderrinh why you were one of the only other infils I had a problem tracking. ;)

Did you not get PA? What's your other skills. I'm similarly kitted to that Pwyick ( :D ) dude. Stealth 21+5, Env 20, CS 23+1. PA is very nice for when skalds do their run-in-and-DD sprints... ;)

I logged in post-patch as lvl 21, got my PA (first priority), got in touch with my friend and asked how much of an importance medium/high stealth was (noob inf as stated), and he cried stealth, so stealth it was.

23(4 auto)+5 Stealth
22 CS :( *curses*
13+something Thrust
15 Envenom

Good thing someone has problem tracking me atleast :>

Guess its the orange con weaps that messes up a bit, and the 22 CS. Can't figure out what else ;)

Well, was thinking with this slasher, bout 29 stealth, of which 5 is from items, 5 is from auto, and 19 is base, uhm. :)

24 CS + whatever items I stumble upon.

And, whatever left over in slash, 20+ atleast, and crap env this time to start with. Already got one using poison, want to try something different.

And preferrably I'll find someone to craft me a yellow con slow slasher of high quality, and use .. well something for the offhand ;)

I'll prob end up unhappy :p but atleast I'll have a half-good CS to use against SBs, hunters and casters, which is primarily what I'm facing, since there are tons of stealthers around.

So how would this template be like for a chainmail killer:

21 CS
20 Envenom
19 Stealth
13 Thrust
2 DW (leftovers)

I exspect the lvl 20 dot would snatch ½ of a skald/thane/healer/shaman's hitpoints.. and coupled with a nice thrust PA that would mean death for most of them :D

Thrust is a little low but you cant have it all.

S

Bout same as mine then Mistu, apart from more envenom instead of stealth.

The L20 poison ticks at 30-35. Quite sufficient to kill if you pull off a PA against an enemy SB/NS

The thing, with a critblade, is to kill with a single hit. So getting max dmg in one blow is what I want, therefor using a slow weapon. When I want to bash a lot in a major fight I´ll wield a faster axe, or even a 1h+shield(no LA-skill). I got a nice warcleaver with 9.0dps/5.3spd or the njessie axe with 8.3/4.3(what I remember).
