Havnt looked at this thread before but...
Im happy with my char and his 45 Earth infact i even respec to 50 and i still manage to do good in RvR ok i dont make huge amont of damage but i still make a diffrence and is beginning to learn how i should play him in RvR, at least the stealther loves me at a infkeeptake

a) You implied I did not know my 8 month old character in RvR just because I choose to also play ALTs ... and then you tell me I am pathetic? Really? Kettle .. black.
b) You have never played an RvR theurgist yet you look to make comments on its role. I would not dream of telling you how to play just because I have have a 30 something version of your char.

a) RvR and PvE are very different faces of the same game, as I said above. It is only by using that character frequently in the RvR arena that one learns its real strengths and weaknesses.
b) I would welcome anyones thoughts on Paladins, whether they had played one or not. Telling someone to shut up already because you don't play one is rather daft (I would point you to your point c). Public forums are just that - open to the public for anyone to post their thoughts on a subject, it is up to the reader to weigh up if those opinions are worth listening to.
I'm sorry to say but looking at the RP total earnings for you and Levin one would have to seriously question the knowledge of your class in RvR. I am not trying to insult you, simply saying how I read the situation.
c) I welcome comments to my viewpoints, but being told to shut up 'cos your an idiot isn't the most sophisticated of viewpoints.

With enough free time on their hands, anyone can follow around the zerg and get lots of realm points. Dosen't mean they necessarily know their class better than anyone else - it's just they know how to zerg. Obviously just how I read the situation, though.

In a zerg people pick up very, very few realm points - as the one person being hit on will share his realm points amongst the 20 people hitting him.To get to realm rank 4 or above by doing nothing but zerging is not impossible, but it would take months. It is possible however by being in good groups that break away from the zerg, from RvRing at strange hours when the zerg is in bed, by keep takes and defences. Defences in particular are very enjoyable, even for a paladin with no ranged attack.
By RvRing regularly, and risking the chance of being in a zerg or countered by a zerg, one will experience many different scenarios and many different enemies. One will learn to find the best of ones class and to minimise its weaknesses.
But to have barely reached realm rank 3 hardly gives a person authority to describe a whole class as "unviable" in RvR!

Hmm Danyan, i think that over masturbating is fucking up your eye sight, i clearly stated that i had killed him about 4 times in the space i was there on hib excal. Oh and UO and Daoc not being similar games, both are similar in some points i.e. being mmporg's in the medieval type period, with pvp etc in it..Its hardly like i was comparing daoc to fucking quake 3.
As you may also notice alot of peeps left the likes of UO and EQ to come to this game, but one of the reasons me and my friends left to go here was that it sounded similar in a way, plus the graphics were a fuck load better.

So true. I for one cant understand why some people dont spend enough time getting to know their class. Every class has a place and a vital role to play in PvE and RvR and to dismiss a class as useless/crap without spending the appropriate time to learn the strengths and weaknesses seems....... well..... kinda stupid.
Maybe an UBER class should be available for these people, one that kills whole zergs with a single stare
