47 AIR 26 EARTH 5 ICE
Now if you have problems with this spec then i suggest you make another lv50 class maybe.But that is ours and we have no problems only sbs of course but other than that gaining 10k rp in one hour isn't bad is it?

Been averaging a level a night since he hit 20, though the need to log Turamber on for realm defence with the Unity Alliance from time to time has disrupted that. Also he's been patrolling Thidranki on a part time basis trying to get his quota of realm skill points, which will really help him level up in the long term.
Not particularly easy in Thid as most people there were red and are now orange con to him. But AoE DOT still got his name on some death spam last night so that made me happy
With the AF bug, however, playing any caster with archers/assassins around can be a pain in the arse to say the least. Had some people hitting me for twice my number of hit points in one arrow... enyoyable, not.

Levin rvr with me if you wish i soon get those rps up like i used to,i haven't been rvring with matt lately mainly due to broken af and rvring with my other 50 who has gained a fair amount of rp himself this week.But i think will rvr with matt more this week if you see me don't be afraid to ask to join in rvr.

Hey Matt,
My own spec was before patch 35 earth, 21 ice 35 air.
Now it's 28 earth, 10 ice, 45 air.
I figured i'd rather have 2 points lower air for the added bonus of the friction shout at 28 earth, and the aoe root at 10 ice.
As for realm abilities i might respec those too. So far i have Aug. Acuity 2, Serenity 2, MCL 1, Wild Power 2 (figured i would like the extra crit chances with the highest air nuke).
I don't play Levin these days, but if you want to discuss anything, send a message to Ehlias or Jerreck.

Excal is a retarded server! Get shitloads of noob Eagle Knights everywhere, there is tons of lvl 50's most who haven't a fucking clue, i made 45k rp's in 4 hours on a lvl 50 mana chanter! and that was me using that char for the first time. So if a guy like me can use a char ive never used before and get that many rp's in a few hours then what can a player who is very experienced with his char do in rvr on that server?!
There is more skilled people in prydwen id have to say, ive played on both excal and pryd and there is no doubt that pyrd is the better of the both.

earth/ice atm are a problem.

I find Theurgists really funny to play in RvR.
As in PvE we are not a very focused class, we really can do a lot of things and (and this is extremely right) of course nothing in an excellent way.
We are not the best nukers, nor the best mezzers, nor the best buffers, nor the best speeders, not the best petters.... but we can do all those things!
Is a matter of mood and way to play.
I soon got tired of my hib blademaster on excalibur: slash slash slash... but many paople like it, like to be focused in something.
You are born to play a doac avatar.... you only have to choose the one that fits you...
What make me sad is that Levin is one of the best IC theurgist I have known... to bad he stop loving his nice old thurg avatar: he could really rock in RvR....

Earth theurgists are OK in rvr imo although their offensive capabilities are limited to a decent ice nuke(that drains alot of mana though especially with pbt up) and an aoe root which gets resisted alot and wont save u from ranged attackers.In order for them to be effective they need a group which will live long and therefore benefit the most from pbt.Many times this is not possible(In emain more often or less one side is greatly outnumbered ) and the benefit of pbt is wasted.The ideal rvr use for pbt is in battles where both fighting groups can make a stand and fight so that the pulses absorb enough hits to make a difference.
Air theurgists are good in rvr if not powerful.The reasons:a) Nukes.I've heard people say that one should make a wizard if one wants a nuker but fire nukes although 10DD stronger than air nukes(219DD to 209DD) get resisted easier so that dmg output is about the same.b)Aoe mezz.Yes it does have crappy range but it isnt resisted easily and duration is enough for small battles.c)Chain stun pets.Chain stun still works alhtough they said they fixed it.With these pets a mezzed target can be stunned then nuked to death with no chance to escape.

I still think its a shame that if you play a Theur and want to do the damage you have to go Air spec
I know Pbuck dosent fully agree with me, but why make 3 spec lines when only one is of any use in RvR (and lets face it you get to lvl 50 to do lotsa RvR)
Id probally be a prime candidate for one of Turambers moaners he dosent like, but after spending months of RvR'ing its no fun when all you do is go out and die because you cant do the dmg
But at the end of the day thats how it goes, and yes im sticking with my 6sec pbt, I am what I am, be it good or bad

No Chole, because (1) you don't make a habit of posting self pittying comments on the forum, as if your class is the only one with a problem or 2 and (2) because you RvR regularly so have a more complete and accurate view of your class.
Theurgists share the same problem as Paladins in some ways - not particularly good at any one thing, it calls for a particular mind set to get the best from them. A lot of the people who moan about how gimped their class is in RvR have hardly spent anytime in RvR = yet they expect to have mastered the class. They have to realise that PvE and RvR are two very different faces of the same game.
PBT is particularly useful for casters in RvR, I know that I -would- love the company of a level 24 Theurgist in Thidranki for my little Cabalist and is essential for PvE. I'm sure all those Legion raid organisers are praying that not all theurgists respec to Air else their raids will be shortlived affairs indeed...

And no Vince, I've never been a follower of the zerg - I just played my character regularly in RvR and learned how to use a 'weaker' class to get the best out of it. Interesting that you post directly under your mentors comment - are you incapable of free will? Go to Hib at the same time, leave Templars at the same time, join the new Utopia at the same time.

One of excal's "best" on is that guy alpha, only thing is i used to beat him all the time as did everyone else when he played on UO and i killed him 4 times when i was there on hib excal and he is thought of as "UBER" there lol.

And my damge cap was 629 before any RA's, those ppl who haev gone above 45 air and gained nothing from it should not of bothered, u could of got a decent AoE root instead of no extra damge cap and no extra spells. Teoz only got the higher damge cap due to 49 air spec, which misses out on PBT.
The ice AoE root (which dont get resisted if u dont spam it on the same person constently btw) makes up for a good 2nd CC which means u can double CC ppl with mez and root allowing u to take more targets than before on at once.
If ppl asked before they speced they would of known this before wasting 2 high cost set of points for nothing.
