Heh seen that picture aswell although it does look fake I reckon its real, many many many places still unexplored in the ocean there could be 100-200ft long sharks and what not at such depths we've not explored fully yet.

Wouldnt take much to make one come closer to the surface, look at the giant squids that come up from insane depths.
