should probably move this to generic whine :p but anyway...

RvR is on my list of "fun things to do" rather than "crap to be put up with to buy new toys"

translation: was fun till I lost my 20% melee damage bonus.

Or are you complaining that you _have_ to go to nottmoor?

Take a boat to hib/alb, bring some friends, take a tower. Kill the defenders that come to fight (there's usually only about a group or two).

We lost the 20% melee with NF...

Albs just brought all the headless children to the frontier and it crashed what ever hope there was for the game.

Made it a dead cert all my old daoc chums would join me in WOW.

And gave all them people who dont know shit about fighting in RVR a chance to enjoy getting into uber random 8 tank groups and zerg for the win.

Funny how all the players who "quit" are still hanging about the boards like a lover who's told you it's over but still can't help peering in through the window to see who you're with and what you're doing ;)

i think it brought a new dimension to the game for sure. For some it might be to free in play style thus the frustration:p
And hehehe....agree with the post before mine about its seems like old lover who cant let go.

NF is quite good, i would say you get as much fun out of it as you chose.
It has all the possibilites of old rvr and a lot more added, just people need to find out how to play it. Sure it also has a lot of mistakes, but compared to old emain i would say its quite good.

Some are tired of the game, fair enough, but those who claim NF sucks either
lack imagination or is to greedy to see possibilities. Its the same ones who in old emain would run down 10 shitty alb groups an hour with an yber setup claiming all they wanted was good fair fights. Now becuase zergs tend to be build faster they cant do that often and they complain, all in the name of fair
fights.

I would say that Excali built up a pretty good community over some years and people stick around the boards for that... not the game itself. And these boards aren't only DAoC boards.
The people rejoicing that the good teams have left make me kinda sad... basically it sounds bitter and pathetic. You couldn't compete with people who played well so you are thrilled they are gone. It says more about the people who are so happy than about those who left. I hope they stay in DAoC and continue to enjoy zerging each other and don't come to WoW.

It made me want to PvE last night.
Finally i got around to killing some of the crocs that drops Preserved Crocodile Eye.
Now i have an item with AF charges!

And then you will want more of them, 10 charges are not enough for 1 night !!!

I know from myself, got 3 of these handy thingies. ;p

Not as good as a specline af buff, but still a specline af charge which is cheap to get and recharge

These boards are - except the o-t section ofc. But if people want to loiter with intent it's entirely up to them - I just find it amusing ;)

I haven't rejoiced about anyone leaving. Don't see others doing it either. Only comments I've seen are a few good riddances to people who acted like tossers - which isn't about how good or even bad groups were...
