And then you will want more of them, 10 charges are not enough for 1 night !!!

I know from myself, got 3 of these handy thingies. ;p

Not as good as a specline af buff, but still a specline af charge which is cheap to get and recharge
I'm sojourner. I can port myself to where i'm bound(in ToA, not to far away from the recharger) whenever i need a recharge. =)
Another good thing about ToA is the cash i get from RvR.
I make more cash then i use on recharging Cetus Skin(for haste charges) and my Croc Eye.

Ah my mistake - I took the "You" to mean me...then again Im egotistical like that. :(

Gonna have to disagree about the board. This section is clearly titled Dark Age Of Camelot> Excalibur> Rvr Discussions. To me that means rvr discussions - which I would take to mean people who play rvr. I would have thought that catching up with a community would be done somewhere else, like general boards,pms,o-t or the various irc channels. Unless folks like to spend their time commenting on the rvr in a game they don't play anymore, which is up to them of course, though I reserve the right to find it amusing. Just seems a bizarre thing to do, but each to their own. Besides, many of the posts from former players look to me more like plain old bitching rather than catching up with the community - another reason I have this image of a bunnyboiler-come-stalker in my head...

I had some very good fg fights (it can still happen!) and realised that hibs without GP are piss easy. Not even once they managed to win CC war and when we met some pbaoe groups (like vulcan-krane the other night) they went down soooooo fast. I wub my twf! ;)

Used to enjoy running around in DF and sometimes keepwar/large scale RvR. Both DF and the fun in large scale RvR is gone with NF. Most classes could have been controlled by a macro in keepwar now.
It cured my addiction problem in other words, so thank you NF :)

I would say that Excali built up a pretty good community over some years and people stick around the boards for that... not the game itself. And these boards aren't only DAoC boards.
The people rejoicing that the good teams have left make me kinda sad... basically it sounds bitter and pathetic. You couldn't compete with people who played well so you are thrilled they are gone. It says more about the people who are so happy than about those who left. I hope they stay in DAoC and continue to enjoy zerging each other and don't come to WoW.

whos more bitter? The people you think are "rejoicing" or the constant amount of people spouting off on here for the 64th time that they have left daoc and daoc sucks?

Agreed.

Hibs are so much easier to fight now. Guess it just shows all those arguments about how it was just crappy sorcs that lost Alb the CC war are now being seen in a true light.

And TWF really screws pb groups :)

They are both bitter. The difference being one group is bitter towards people they couldn't beat, the other group is bitter towards a company that screwed up a game they liked...

yeah, it has nothing to do with the fact that the old good groups are no more, and you have adds on every fight.

nah, thats not it.

most of the good old alb grps are no more either....
and even without adds hibs tend to roll over and die within 10 secs theese days.

is there any hib group out still with an average RR higher than 6?
last time I logged on to pay house rent I checked who was in the Frontiers and I recognized like 10 names out of 100

Hmmm....that would be true if the sticked with saying they just hated mythic:p
But they usually end the whine thread by pointing out that they think the game is just for "unskilled" zerging and raising their own playstyle to the skyes.....god im tired of this competitive elitist attitude.....
And tbh i wouldnt consider doing same thing over and over every night until ur rr10 etc a challenge anymore, i would welcome a change cause i wouldnt feel i was evolving at all....but thats just my opinion...

So easy to win the CC war when there's speedwarps everywhere and you're massively outranged. :p

Don't think so, mostly seems to be brehon groups these days.
Certainly see a lot of high RR albs though (in zerg mostly).

I go down fast a lot bud, its what casters do well, but i consider it a great trade off dying a few times fast with the RPs I make from a session, especially when 3/4 fg stacked and mezzed.

We only ever run 1 fg, I dont hide in a zerg :kissit:

BTW, if you beat the hibs in seconds, how is it a good fight? I don't consider a fight you win trivially that good (and god knows you get plenty of them playing against alb/exc), they're not really that exciting, more like just PvEing. A good fight is where you narrowly win or lose vs relatively equal opponents. A good fight lasts a couple of minutes, not a few seconds.

Nope, you hide behind a tree...

Well, behind it from the perspective of the rest of your group... but you're standing in front of it from the perspective of the Alb group coming along from the other direction! ;)

I love finding unprotected casters...

Aye bad trick I learned from Albs that tree hiding, and when apart from BF & AD does any Alb run in a fg.

Nice observation though, as a caster I like any other will use any means except bug abuse available to keep me alive :p
