Inspired by a mix of Clown, Wazzt and Deceptive Media. I was out photographing an Edinburgh 10k run this morning and saw this on the way back to the train station. Nice and sharp thanks to the L goodness.

Fairly light - auto contrast in Photoshop, then manual contrast adjustment to give it a higher contrast punch. Finished off with a +20 (iirc...) vibrance boost to bring the red in the brick out then a very small amount of sharpening.

Much more in the way of atmospherics than last night, lots of haze taking the contrast out of things. Lovely evening for a walk up a local hill to whip out the 70-200mm L.

The peak third from the left is Ben Ledi, unsure of the others.

Very much a rank amateur but thought I'd give a go to a portrait of a few friends with their lads, turns out kids are nigh on impossible to work with when they get their grump on.

Plenty of things wrong with the image, too busy in the background, in all likelihood oversaturated, not exactly the prettiest location and some numpty decided to get on the climbing frame but I lack the photoshop skills to do much about it at the moment, heh. Still, meh.

I agree. A bit meh somehow. Think the angle/wood on the left/upper detracts a bit. Could be worth reframing the composition. Really nice tone and colour though.

Maybe, although I think this one has a more landscape orientation feel to it. I like that there are boats, shame they can't exist to the left of the far wood and not the right.

Maybe time for some supreme manipulation?

You could come in a bit tighter G but I like the gap slap bang in the middle like that, maybe take it in 5-10% on each side.
