The only slight niggle I have with #1 is the intruder on the left. Very slightly distracting, but only slight.

Yeah, it's slightly distracting but I kept it just because I thought his facial expression was pretty interesting. The people frame the busker well and helps the candidness :)

I liked the black and white conversion of the other one but there is something about the colour I like... Not sure!

Just looking at the first one again, I probably could have done more to vignette them out?

Actually I think it makes it more candid, like you're looking through a crowd. It adds a bit of energy and activity to the shot, unlike the one where he's on his own.

Depends on your taste, but I like the 'framing' of the view.

I might drive up to the Peak District tomorrow. Anyone know any good spots to drive around there and take pictures? I want to get Solomon's Temple in Buxton at least. Don't really know what I'll do after that.

I ended up staying in London to sort out my car :)
I take too many pictures... My favourite people on Flickr don't spam as much as I do. Maybe I should start being more selective with my uploads?

Are you Maria Joseph, or John Basco?

I thought this thread was not a cool photos thread, but a thread for photos you have personally taken?

A shaft of light amongst some serious showers, up a big hill near Stirling.

About 10 minutes after the sun set behind those hills on a cool summer's evening.

A. by Clwn, on Flickr

Just got some flashes so I had to try a low key shot! Not had much time to play unfortunately.

Good shit clown. What did you do for the background? Did you have a deliberately black background or did you put a thingy up to block the light behind him?
