I had no idea but a miniseries has been done and is out already.

Really good middle ages setting of rape, pillage and intrigue - kind of fantasy style except written w/ a more realistic historical setting.

Will let you know if it's any good when I watch it tomorrow ( later today )

I really enjoyed the books and am kinda looking forward to it.

On a BIG plus side Ian Mcshane is one of the badguys of the series and he was fucking amazing in Kings ( sadface ).

First ep sets it up quite well, halfway through the second and it seems to be pretty good. Maybe not great if you havn't read the books though.

Ep 1+2 felt a bit slow to me but Ep 3 picks up the pace and it's definitely getting good.

Yep, I wondered half way through episode 3 if they were going to follow through on the plot or leave it till episode 4, they ended up timing it perfectly and wrapping up the episode nicely.

Episode 4 was good, not as great as the first 3 for intrigue I thought. It felt far more rushed, but I suppose we got some good action.

Was the 4 year break something that also happened in the books, or was it a Tv thing to gloss over some purely character development bits?

There was a big time jump in the books, I'm really enjoying this series now.

Everyone else is foolish and does not appreciate the genius of Lovejoy It was the same with Kings, their loss.

this is my next book purchase now too.

Especially as I foolishly thought Dance with Dragons might actually get released in the next couple of months.
