Both are saltwater species, and that takes much more work than a regular tank.. And saltwater tanks are just not as appealing to me as freshwater tanks

Seahorses are particularly hard to keep I think. You have to feed them live food and have really good water conditions.

That's a lot of babies. Why is the one that gives birth the male? :p

Monsters of the sea my friend :)

I think the female lays her eggs in him and he then fertilizes them

Ah that makes sense. I've just wasted 2 hours looking at sea horse tanks on the internet. I really should be studying. I've actually got a new aquarium coming in 4 weeks to replace my current one. I'm tempted to keep sea horses in it now!
