(un)suprisingly only one of Denmarks games will be on TV here in Finland, where the general populations reaction is "what do you mean european championship? the world championship just ended?! oh you mean football...time to go sauna and beat each other with sticks!"

but what annoys me is 2 channels have the rights to the games (main BBC-like channel gets first pick and 2nd channel gets leftovers) - but the 2nd channel have decided not to show any of the games, i mean wtf why bother paying for the rights when you are not even going to show any of them, the fuckers!

Ukraine seems like an absolutely delightful place. Well done UEFA. (interesting factoid; number of England fans at Germany 06: 100,000, number of England fans at South Africa 10: 20,000, number of England fans confirmed for the Ukraine: 3000. Now that's partly because England are shite, but its mainly because the Ukraine is about the least tourist-friendly place in Europe).
