Fucking yes!!
BBC SPORT | Football | Internationals | Capello keen on England position
If the FA appoint O Neill over this guy it will be an even bigger fuck up than appointing McLaren
I would welcome an Italian manager, their teams always have good defense and passing.
England can defend, but with injuries and a shit goalie thats hard.
England can pass the ball very well.
England cant attack, 90% of the time they pass up to the strikers, then turn round and pass back...The reason we cant beat shit teams is because they play defensive, we only score on quick counters against good attacking teams.
An italian manager would feel at home with our team, but he'd use clever tactics and teach the players how to use their passing to create oppotunities.
I just wonder how many of the really great footballing countries have had foriegn coaches managing their national teams? Doesnt anyone find it strange to have a foriegn coach for England?
.........According to Wiki all world cup winning sides have been coached by a home grown manager.
However Greece won the 2004 european championship with a German coach.........
I would like Fabio Capello because he is interested in the job and a manager that has proved he can win things. Beating Barcelona to the league last season was no easy achievement.
Capello's spartan methods dont suit a national team, let alone England.
Any national team needs a coach (not manager) who disenvolves good in stages. Benitez / Hiddink / Lippi comes to my mind, not very good at long seasons (cept Lippi), but superb tacticians when it comes to the likes of Champion League qualy matches.
I dont care about his methods. What england need is a manager with pedigree. Something Capello has in abundance. Capello isnt afraid of overhaul. Again, something we need. He is also vastly respected in the football world, which will help at club level. Can you imagine Harry Redknapp as england manager..
HR: Fergy, can you rest Rooney for me, i got a world cup qualifier comming up.
SAF: Lol Fo noob
Wheras someone like Cappelo, who has the respect of managers would probably get a bit of lee way with people like SAF
