Really? How many times do they have to say “forget the past” for you to forget the past? The one thing the movie made abundantly clear was the all the old Star Wars lore is done.I very much doubt Snoke will even get mentioned again.

So just saw it. Not entirely happy. It feels like that the casino planet was supposed to be an hour long, and they cut it down to to the 10 minutes or so it takes up. The planet at the end was a rehash of the battle of Hoth, just much shittier. The whole Skywalker bit at the beginning was the only decent part. The whole turn lightspeed into a weapon thing shouldn't have been possible, otherwise, why haven't they weaponised FTL torpedos yet?

I reckon a guy was winding his mate up 'nah man, there's no link between the two films!'

'There is! I'll show you!'

Watched it.....hmmmmm.
The first 5 mins could have been Spaceballs.
The Leia space scene looked like a panto fairy floating in on a wire.
I guess the sure fire hit AI has been wired into Facebook.

Thought it was pretty good. Not as good as rogue one but better than eps 1,2,3 and 7.

Oh and there were a few plotholes yeah. First thing the FTL bit made me think was "why never before?"

Made me think "why wait until it's done a 180 before trying to blow it out of the sky" nothing to stop them cranking on that then resuming hitting the other targets

Star Wars for generation idiot.

Thought the wizzes and pops were entertaining. Story, the wank.

Just back from seeing it - very enjoyable couple of hours, but nothing that hadn't been done before in the original 3.

To be fair though it wasn't a complete retelling of Empire, they managed to get bits of Return of the Jedi in there too.

I did have to laugh at the end though when the guy randomly rubbed the floor to tell us what the surface was. Almost as if he was saying "LOOK, IT ISNT TEH HOTH!!!!!".

Probably still give it a 7 out of 10, but God they need some new ideas for the last one.

Seemed to be a story line aimed squarely at keeping the whole thing going, effectively reboots the franchise back to the start.
