For those that have intention of watching it and/or just don't care about spoilers - why I thought the ending to the newest Jurassic Park was shit is in a spoiler tag below

So, when the movie first starts they show off this hybrid lab and obviously an accident happens and they show off something called the D-Rex, you think... ok that's cool, thats the big bad and the ending should be cool... but no, when they get to the end, the D-Rex shows up for literally 5-6 minutes screen time, they hide from it then fly away off the Island - clearly setup for a sequel while at the same time making the ending to this one an anti-climactic shit fiesta

The above said - I think it did well at box office despite so many people (myself included) ragging on it, so I would imagine that sequel will likely go ahead.

F1 Movie. Predictable, Route 1. Actually great fun.

Lemme guess, Brad Pitt character has come back arc, hates new kid, brad pitt does a bit of soul searching and starts to tolerate new kid, new kid ends up winning a race he shouldn't have brad pitt gives him a nod and cut to black?

I heard it was a bit like Top Gun Maverick. You knew what it was going to do, but you were satisfied when it did it. And Pitt is an actual "star" still, rather than the identikit league of who gives a fuck we trot out nowadays.

HTTYD live action was a good movie. Good adaptation of the animated one.

Ignore the few "original" scenes and it's an easy watch.

E: We re-watched the first two shrek movies afterwards, other than the animation showing its age, it's so good still.

Happy Gilmore 2 on Netflix now or on the High Seas if you fancy. Obviously it was never going to be as good as the first one, it does have some funny easter eggs and some humour from the first movie in there though as a treat for fans.

Saw it, its got a lot of jump scares but didn't impress me much. Some of the dialogue was just plain weird, like an AI or teenager had written it

Yea, it was pretty bad. It did well at the cinema apparently so I would imagine a sequel is already greenlit behind closed doors. I thought it was caca though. I think i'll always watch Jurassic Park movies though, its a guilty pleasure of watching dinosaurs/big monster shit.

War of the Worlds on Amazon - genuinely the worse movie I have ever seen. Not only is the movie shit, but its stuffed full of Amazon product placements.

War of the worlds is possibly the worst film in at least a decade.

Absolute bullshit, from start to finish, every scene is more stupid than the last. I don't necessarily have a problem with a bit of product placement, but in this it was absurd, they shoe horn in an entire plot point to try and sell some amazon drone service bullshit.

Oh and the gaping plot holes, absurd levels of forgetting what happened 10 minutes earlier in the film.

Watch it if you hate yourself.

/WARNING MODE ON

This is your only warning about War of the Worlds.

DO NOT FUCKING DISS THE ALBUM WITH THE SAME NAME (by Jeff Wayne). Anything else with the same or similar name is fair game.

Saw this advertised on Prime, just the graphic was enough for me to not even bother.

I saw a brief clip where he takes a screen grab off a video, then extracts the image 'metadata' and it gives him a complete analytical breakdown of the aliens. It must be the dumbest use of "hacking" I've ever seen on film.

Oh, compared to some of the other stuff, that part is perfectly reasonable.
