What happened to James Cameron (apart from a load of other blockbuster films that he uses to fund his more interesting work?)
I don't begrudge his fucking about in the deep sea or whatever...but he stopped making good films quite some time ago.

Avatar are technical masterpieces.

They're not the most thrilling movies but I'd not call them bad. Just.. Mid.

I think the Avatar movies - he's more talking about ecology. He's trying to get people to think about ecosystems and human behaviour and is just wrapping it up in a nice action movie wrapper to bring people along.

I think he's playing a different game tbh.

Could tell it was a Jonny Greenwood soundtrack 10 mins in, so good.

Running Man was...worth a watch. It has lots of nods to the original, and it has a kind of retro-futurist look to it which is very well done. No opera-singing fat eunuchs in electric cars though; political correctness gone mad.

Oh, and it was interesting because it's actually a couple of older guys (albeit a cool ensemble cast).

Thought Wake Up Dead Man was a bit meh. Great cast, getting good reviews, but not much of a whodunnit.

I thought that of the second one too.

I liked the first one, but the second didn't have a much in the way of Columbo. But the o/h wants to watch.

Tron: Ares.

Jared Leto had so few lines the film was acceptable.

Was forced to watch it because: lady. We both thought it was a pile of wank.

Fucksake is it that bad? I really liked the original and legacy Tron films so I better watch it to at least say I've seen all three.

Also, posting is now working again, fucking ran out of space due to a huge log file.

Don't start me off, I have 2 toilet brushes, a metre of 2.5mm T&E which can bend around the pipe and a bamboo stick, all nicely arranged as at least one of these items gets used every day.

You're missing the poop knife.
