It was ok. I'm not a great fan of Freddie Highmore. I think his acting is really poor so perhaps that jaded my view of the film.

It was ok. I'm not a great fan of Freddie Highmore. I think his acting is really poor so perhaps that jaded my view of the film.

Gosh I am the opposite he is awesome in The Good Doctor (in my view of course)..

I'll definitely watch but I'm not sold at all. It looks like one of those reboot remakes (she's got a rabbit on her bloody shoulder ffs, right out of the first matrix. Red pill/blue pill? We've done that, right?)

Funnily enough I just watched the old matrixes. The first one really does stand up fantastically well. The other two are just brainless popcorn fodder but entertaining enough.

Go see it. Is good.

Surprisingly good. I thought it would be the "MCU does Asia" and basically be another bucket of cliches a la Black Panther, and...it is, but at the same time something a bit different and with likeable characters and a plot that wasn't exactly complex, but at least coherent (unlike Black Panther). Also some nice cameos and an end credits scene that's actually important for once.

I also liked that it addressed the events of Iron Man 3 directly; I wasn't expecting that at all

Bored stiff by the Suicide Squad film, but I can't wait for the Matrix. Definitely going to see that one. Apparently Morpheus died in the online game, which may explain why Laurence Fishburne isn't in this one.
