In the thread on Roast beef Monster Munch's return, I prayed to the food gods that with the return of Wispa Choccy bars they might re-release Wispa Gold bars. Hark, the snack deities heeded my plea!

Wispa Gold is back on the shelves for a limited time (well at least in Sainsburys where I've just bought 10 bars!!) If you didn't try them first time, get on it.

ALL HAIL WISPA GOLD - FOOD GODS BE PRAISED!!

Agreed - they're a poor comparison. I'm not sure how steak which is meant to be superior to beef can fail so badly.

Now all I have left to wish for is the holy grail of Crisp - Walkers Double Crunch. They bring those back and I will be in snack heaven; I'll literally be buying them by the box :)

I cant remember those, were they like the crisps you found in pubs with flavours like Ham and Mustard? the packet had a old guy with a stripey hat and a tash

the only thing that should taste like a parmo is a parmo.

No they were basically double layered Walkers, with extra seasoning. Brannigans were nice but didn't have the same rich flavouring.

Rep'd for finding the packet design though - wish I could find the normal design.:clap:

Fuckin A!

At Lidl you can buy the Mister Choc M&M ripoffs 250g for 99p and the taste every bit as good. Their Milky Way and Bounty clones are better than the originals imho but half the price.

They still sell brannigans in corner shops. Anyone know if Mountain Dew is coming to the UK?

I remember it coming out in the mid 90s and failed miserably.

Knowing Pepsi, they will try again and again in order to make money, damn capitalism :p

That's imported, you cant buy it off the shelf in Morrisons or down the local shop.

You might find it in a bargain shop, like Jack Fultons, Poundland or down the local market shop.

True enough in a way - last weekend I was near Leek and somebody bought it from the Morrisons there and was supping with a contented look. I agree places like Poundland are your best option though.

Edit: Thad change that Robbie Rotten pic, it's freaking me out :p

That is a shock, I shall have a look next time I go to Moggies and report back :p

You should ask your local corner shop if they ever see it down the cash and carry, to get you a case in. Or send emails to Tesco and Asda asking them.

Asda are probably going to be a better bet, as they are run by an American company.

That was some freaky shit that chocolate, I liked it - purple chocolate is always a bit crazy though. I hate to think of the additives in that stuff - give one of those to a kid and I bet they'd be like the duracell bunny for hours. :)

i tried those nut things the other night. we had a taster evening as we just opened a new store. i ate a fucking shit load. you tried the little caramel short cake squares? must of had about 20 of them. the schlogaten chocolate or what ever it is, is almost too nice. and the praline shells are pure dirt.

not sure about the rest of the country, but at the lidls im at as of tomorrow we are selling fox crunch creams 30p a pack down from 89p. might be worth checking if you have them.
