I doubt money has anything to do with it, he took a 50% pay cut to go to Brawn.

I'd guess that Magnussen is for the future and they had the opportunity to get Alonso and couldn't turn it down. In the long run, Alonso has more seasons of racing left in him than JB.

I havn't seen any hard confirmation of mclarens driver lineup.
I'd be surprised if they drop button.
Except that he seems like a moody cunt, who has been nothing but moaning the past month or so. Plus Kevin just got a big raise

So, very little in it but LH fastest in 1st and 2nd practice today.

Interesting for the brits... if LH takes the F1 title, then this year it will be British winners in 4 major racing categories.

Just found out last night that Chris Hoy is having a crack at Le Mans in 2016. Cars>bikes.

Of course he can but hngh all the same. Especially with the Williams being closer behind than expected. The first corner is going to be... interesting. Hngh.

Meh, just play it old fashion racing style. Wipe rosberg out in the first corner :p

But no seriously, if he gets of the line decently I think he in with a great chance because he had a massive advantage over rosberg in the long runs, so with luck he can use that.

Pity if it's decided by reliability but Rosberg has had less bad luck and Lewis looked like he had it covered anyway.

Pretty poor race, the title was deserved but he really should practice his donuts more. ;)

Was a rather quiet end to the season to be fair, no surprise given the track though.
Rosberg had no chance in the race even without the issues imo, you could see that Lewis was coasting most the time and just keeping the lead at that 2.5s or so after making such a great start.

All in all, he deserved the title and got it. Felt sorry for Rosberg to end on such a low but given what happened through the season I don't feel too bad.

It was a pretty good race imo, was more nervous yesterday than today :p

Once the race started I was pretty chill, it was good race w/ lots of implications ( who was gonna finish 4th in championship - bot/vet/alo ).
Kyvat was beasting until he had to retire as well, looking forward to seeing Kyvat vs Ricc next year, should be a great fight there.

Hopefully button/alonso @ McLaren will happen and that'll be a great fight as well.

I was a mess in the run up to the race. Especially after Brundle said that he'd heard that Hamilton was nervous and Rosberg was all laid back and chilled. Such a good start from Lewis though, oh my days. He had it in the bag even without Rosberg's problems so it's annoying that some reports are making it sound like it was decided by unreliability.

Glad it didn't get settled with that double points bollocks but a shame Rosberg's car failed.

Well, the race was actually fun to watch and it was a great atmosphere. The post race concert was excellent. Got to work at 10 am this morning after driving 90 mins back and feel exhausted with only 4 hrs sleep. Early night tonight and should have booked another holiday day.

Nope. The general feeling of everybody was that he has raced in his last grand prix, though. Brundle said it in commentary and, in an interview, Button said his dad would be livid if he could see how he's being treated. :(
