So after unveiling sort of their new car, Team Lotus are saying they're gonna be mixing it with the middle order this year and aiming for 7/8th in constructors.

Elsewhere the rumour mill is growing about the accounts of Redbull, having both Adrian Newey and Christian Horner listed as maternity leave :)

I love it. Really made me go "wow" when it was unveiled this morning. But will it perform as good as it looks? :)

Kubica "seriously injured" in a rally in Italy. Hope it's not serious, I likes him I do. It says his codriver was unhurt so here's hoping he will be ok for the F1 season (which starts just 5 weeks away, I hadn't realised it was so soon).

I also think the MP4-26 is definitely pretty sexual - I don't remember a McLaren that hasn't been lovely to look at. They have always been the lookers in the paddock, I don't know if it's the colours or just because it's a McLaren or what.

fractures in both arm/ leg. Doesn't look like he'll be starting this season. That article even suggests his ability in the sport will be compromised.

Blimey, I think it's safe to say that would've compromised his ability in the sport. :\

Hope he makes a swift recovery, it doesn't look good for a fast return to F1 though, from all reports. I wonder who Renault will bring in. I'm sure they won't be promoting one of their reserves as anyone following the Group Lotus grandstanding will know that they won't want to be seen to be backing 2 3rd division drivers. Kimi for a return anyone?

I want to agree with you apart from this

which still gives me nightmares when I think about it.

What is it with these blokes? Don't they get enough of an adrenaline rush in the season?
Real shame if he can't race again.

Indeed, the hole is where the armco barrier peirced the car and partially severed Robert's hand :(

He almost certainly won't be racing this season and next week is vital to see how he progresses. His career as a whole is really at risk.

Gutted about the whole thing; he is one of very few drivers who can spring real surprises in cars which frankly, shouldn't be close to where he takes them.

At least he's okay though, a barrier making its way into the driver seat could have been a whole lot worse.

I hope Bahrainians stop protesting until after the opening race.

I don't - watching the protests would be far more exciting than the Bahrain GP ever has been.

Maybe we could intermingle the events?

Make the protestors run across the track, for every protestor that makes it, they get a government concession.

Well on reflection it saves the opening race from being so boring.
