The Christmas Bazaar

The Christmas Bazaar to be held Sunday the 8th of December in Ludlow!

Before I explain it, let me admit that yes, this is a total copy of P.A.R.P's Ludlow bazaar on prydwen (and a few of their other events too if im honest) but reading about it I thought it was such a great idea it had to be done on Excalibur. It should be great to have a large scale realm event without having it involve a single realm point or huge monster, and PARP have been quite supportive in organising this.

Anyways, this event will open at 7:30 pm GMT and it should be a mixture of lots of little events, games and competitions. All the major crafters I hope will be there during the evening, selling their wares, so it should be the perfect evening to get your christmas shopping done. I have asked GOA to put the high material merchants, a vault keeper, broadchat and decorations in Ludlow for the event. The broadchat should only be used by me, the major crafters and anyone who is participating in one of the competitions, otherwise I can see it just being endless spam.

So, here are the main attractions at the Christmas Bazaar!

Christmas Casino ------------- Run by Sisifos, running throughout the evening.
Chances to win big cash in the casino! Sisifos will post his rules for the games later.

Kissing Booth --------- (Hopefully) run by Regtur, running throughout the evening.
5gp a kiss from the beautiful Regtur!

Rock Lobbing Stall ------- Run by Lethander, running throughout the evening (Trebuchet permitting)
5gp a rock, test your aim, and watch firery death rain upon the bandits! (Assuming you're a good shot)

Slave Auction ------- Run by myself, at 7:45.
Bid to have somebody to be your personal slave for a day, whether you use him for exping, RvR, or carrying wood the choice is yours!

Grand Auction ------- Run by myself, at 8:00.
Over the past week or two I have been contacting the major crafters and asking for donations to the auction. I must say the responce was exelent. Although I haven't been able to get in touch with many of the crafters yet, if you are a crafter and have a Mp item you would like to donate or if any one has a particulary good magic item they would like to donate please pm me in game.
I will also organise a Llyn Barfog group this week at somepoint to collect some items there.

Come and see who will be crowned Mr. and Miss Albion in our realm's first ever beauty contest decided by a pannel of four judges!

And finaly, The Limerick Competition! -----Run by myself and a panel of judges, at 9:00.
One of the favourite events they had on Prydwen, each guild is invited to preform a Limerick, as dirty as needs be, on why we're the best realm, or why you're the best guild.
If your guild wants to enter, make sure to pm me before the event!

I hope this to be a fun event, to be enjoyed by all Albion whatever class, level or guild. All money raised will go to a keep door fund in the trust of The Dead Dragons Society alliance.

Oh, and if any Mids/Hibs are thinking along the lines of relic raid, then Ludlow is quite convenietly a 2min horse ride from Castle Excalibur, just enjoy emain in our absence

Greetings from PARP and Prydwen, hope your Bazaar becomes as cool as ours!

The thing about slaves. well:

A: Its fun!

B: Roleplayers can surely get some sort of kick out of this

C: Being a slave, is THE best way you can aid your realm, if you arent a crafter. You help raise looads of cash, and you help someone with whatever they need help with.

As for the cash, i cant remember the ecact ammount, but Kyra, our lovely miss Nightinggale, was sold for about 2 plat!

Ok:] The rules of blackjack will be a bit differenet from last time.

So it will go like this:

The basic rules of the game remains the same of course

--Each player competes against the dealer, not against the other players. The object of the game is to have a higher point total than the dealer without going over 21. Each ace counts as either 1 point or 11 points, kings, queens, jacks count 10 points each, and all other cards (2 through 9) count their value.

--Before the deal, players will bet from 5 to 50 gold. The gold you wish to bet will be given to dealer. If you win you get your money x2 back. E.g. if you bet 25 gold you will get 50 gold back from the dealer.

--At every round of the game, dealer will deal two cards to each player face up and two cards to himself first face down.After the deal, the dealer "asks" each player one by one whether they want an additional card. A player may Stand or Stop -- play just the two cards originally dealt or may Hit -- take another card.
After being dealt an additional card, the player may stop or may take still another card. A player may take as many cards as he or she wants, but as soon as the player's total exceeds 21, the player loses. Each time you Hit I will inform you about your total, which you can see yourself by using the command /held.
In most casinos if house has under 17 must draw, I will give a small advantage to house in this case by saying that house does not have to draw if it s under 17 only if it shows fit. Well after that if dealer busts by going over 21, any players still in the game win. Otherwise, players with totals higher than the dealer win, while players with totals less than the dealer lose. In case of a tie, house wins.
If dealer has a 21 house wins in any case. Even if player has a 21 himself.


That's it:] All money from blackjack will go as well to door repairs as Loxley said. I ll be there with "Croupier".

Yes, all money is going to a keep door fund, I should think every keep with lvl10 doors should hold the tide for a while.
