Quick Few rules concerning the slave auction --------

Following some advice I am laying out a few rules for the slave auction, although I expect this event to be great, I also realise the potential for abuse.

Thus -

You bid for a total slave time of four hours - to be done at once or in two seperate goes.
Although he is your slave and you have paid for him (extra for the air conditioning no doubt ) I trust both master and slave will treat each other with respect, no naughtiness
If a disagreement does take place, I don't think it will but just in case, log any conversations and walk away to avoid any fights.

Apart from that, have fun

I will put myself up as a slave (inc all of my alts) but i assume slaves have to be lvl50.

What a great idea, we should try and get some lower level stuff for the auction too so it's not just the level 50's having all the fun.

It would be easy for crafters to make some asterite stuff (so easy to salvage) or even lower stuff. Perhaps make the kissing booth vary on price acording to lvl, and maybe allow lower bets at the casino for people who find the 5g minimum a bit much.

Lox, m8... Put Enhanze up for slave (lvl42 enhancement and lvl4 mastery of the arcane.. gives at least 72 INT buff (to wizzes), and a shit load of dex)

Drunk u said we should allow bets less than 5g. We could always set minimum bets to 1 gold per round (up to 50g) but I dont think 5gs are a big bet to pay each round. At least at the previous event noone bet below 5gs ever.

Anyway. Let's say 1 to 50 gold bet range.

depends who's playing 5g is a lot to a level 20

maybe have a silvers-table if there's demand.

Well first thing is u cant help in door repairs by raising copper pieces

Second thing is that I can only deal one table at a time. There must be a second guy to deal a second table. (U need to be in a grp to deal someone)

Now about the Plat. thing. The best bet range i can give you is a 1 to 100 gold bet range. If u want a plat just bet 10 times

I think that s final. 1 to 100 gold is a decent bet range.

Now this Idea was STOLEN from Filthius and the LoD guild but it was such a humerous event and a great idea , that with the permission of LoD I would like to sponser a Race around Albion.

THis would consist of everyone rolling a lvl 1 alt fresh in ludlow and racing around
alb basically. With checkpoints , markers etc.

IF their is sufficent interest in this Ill draw up some rules , course details etc. And get some planning done.

Now as for the Prize . Well ill personally
put 1p towrds it. Which although should bankrupt me , it should also draw a sizeable crowd to the race.

Any Interest?

better idea is to charge a 1g entry fee, and have the winner get half the proceeds, the rest going to the relic keep repair fund.

maybe make the master/slave have to roleplay the entire thing no saying 'slave buffz0rs n0w!' but 'servant! enchantments! and get to it!'

'you slave, get here now! stop dawdling'

(use /send out of character to make sure things aren't being misinterpreted of course)

If you need any help with the organisation of the race, pm me. Can still remember how we did it and might b able to give you a couple of pointers as to where ours went a tiny bit wrong ;-)

Was overall very fun

p.s.we had to trust people not to cheat and use mincers or horses but obviously of all our guild no1 cheated. Way to get around it might b to have stealthers around the course ready to catch cheats

What we did was this:
1)we had 10 checkpoints all of which could b visited in ANY order to make the whole thing more interesting
2)the checkpoints list was given out just 1 hour in advance for people to plan their routes.
3)Every checkpoint had 1 person there with a particular item to give each of the contestants as they passed that point. All of the items were crafted by the same person (lowest af armor and lowest dmg weapons) and the winner had to show all of the armor to an independant judge once they had finished to show that they hadnt simply gone and bought the armor. This at least stops people from checkpoint hopping. This was how the checkpoints were doen anyways.
4)checkpoints r most interesting near vague aggro mobs that con highly to the lvl 1 chars (stonehenge was the best one).
5)allow the use of bindstones otherwise you will have a lot of annoyed contestants ;-)
6)Piece of advice is to not have any checkpoints near any moving mobs that may aggro. We for example had one at twees spot 3 in lyonesse. Dang those beanys A sorc doesnt last too long against them...heh

Sure theres more advice to give but if you need anything further, b sure to pm me in game...was a VERY fun event

My guild, Mortem Minumum Est, organized a while ago survival race in Emain (well, It was a nudist race wich I won , but that's not the point)

Much better than any race in homeland.

Personaly if I were to get a slave I would just call him Jenkins and make him hold my brandy, but thats besides the point. Im getting lots of interest from the slave auction, but very little for Mr. Miss Albion and the Limerick Comp! Cmon guys!

As for the race, I would suggest that it be organised before the Bazaar, at about noon. So I dont have to make the time table a littlle cramped. If you can organise this it would be great, but im very busy just organising what I have got, so your on your own

Oh, I also got an exelent e-mail today (from a government address, naughty naughty not working ) And it follows thus-

During the Christmas Bazaar, Santa himself will be patroling Ludlow, handing out low level presents to all of you with a low level disposition. One present per lowbie, naughty and nice, ect ect

So bring all your low level items to the evening so Santa has some presents to give!

Reading through this is seems Loxley has done a great job and also a lot of people involved, can i just say if anyone needs to get something deliverd to Loxley before Sunday please dont hesitate to contact and of the Red Dragons on line in the case of Loxley not being on.

There are only really 6-7 main players of the Red Dragons playing their mains or alts so we are a tight group.

Just thought i would add this maybe saving Loxley running from one end of albion to the other to pick things up.
