Well yeah if you download them uncompressed. Get them in x264 format and your average movie weighs in at around 4-10gb. Plus, not a massive loss in quality either

I must say those bluray rips look damn sexy, even the x264 720p stuff is far, far better than anything you get broadcast (bar sky/beeb HD etc)

You do notice the loss of quality from 1080p though. Especially when you've spent money on 1080p kit.
