To a certain degree your correct, but many of todays artists dont put their emphasis on long guitar solo's. ALL of the greatest guitar solo's are very difficult to master as im sure Karlo would agree. Karlo. What guitar do u play? Ive got a les paul black top (gibson) but havent touched it for about 5 years.

I've got a wasburn wi64 atm, want to replace the pick ups for some crunchier dimarizios and start playing some hardcore ;)

Pluged into a laney lc15 all valve amp and a 4x12 cabinet, sounds sweet :p

Bloodhound Gang don't really make it into my top three but I have to say they are the best live band I have ever been to ....Saw them at Glastonbury a couple of years ago just because I was bored. Everyone else wanted to either go watch Utah Saints or get some sleep so I decided to go for a wander and ended up watching these guys. The stage show was F'ing amazing (Especially the Bassist with the flame thrower attached to his guitar...oh and when pacman got dragged off to the side of the stage and got a kick in from the roadies....genius :D). Definately better performance than NIN later that day who were the only reason I even went to glastonbury.

anyhow my list?

Foo Fighters
Sounggarden (or Audioslave...or Chris Cornells solo album)
Queen
