At least, he did do that until he realised his same squad was past it and he bolted for the door. :)

He won the league the year he left with an absolute average team, after losing out the year before on goal difference with pretty much the same team. He didn't have to stay to prove anything, personally he went at a perfect time as it allowed us to start a proper rebuild.

I think we're agreeing. He knew he couldn't do it again with the same squad the next year so he went out on a high.

Mou out, Klopp in?

Klopp who spent most of last season in the relegation places, that one? No thanks, I'd much rather stick with what we have - the best manager in the country, if not the world.

The problem is, since summer he really hasn't been himself by all accounts, and it seems to coincide with his father getting seriously ill, which speaking from experience can affect just about everything. He doesn't strike me as the sort to talk about it.

We'll turn it round, but let's not be getting silly and get rid of a manager who won us the league last season.

Would be fun if Wenger and the Arsenal squad thought it'd be a walkover and they then went and got BTFO with some silly tennis digits like 6-1

Nasty injury for Shaw, ffs he was looking superb and was a shoe in for the Left back spot for England.

I feel like a blind idiot but to me it didn't look like he'd get a serious injury from that. Watched the replay a few times.
I guess if his right leg was planted then makes sense

GOOAAALLLL Memphis you star!

Ironic when I first heard he was injured I thought he might be broken again, didn't realise quite literally.

Yeah kind of worrying because we certainly won't be doing that well this year judging from our league performances.

Lack of cutting edge again from Utd, plenty of possession without any real threat aside from a couple of chances after we scored. The only positive I can take from the night is City getting beaten again in the Champions league.
