How hard is it to play the best person currently in each position? Instead we get sturridge Rooney and sterling all swapping places so much half the time no one is sure who the striker is and the box is empty.

Sturridge is the form player , stick him up front. If we are only playing one striker then Rooney is on the bench, regardless of his reputation and if he isn't happy about it he needs to get his finger out of his arse and improve his form

He has actually been playing well lately but his big problem is he is perfect for the way we play and I have not seen him have a stand out game for England.

Also gibbs is deservedly behind Baines and Shaw. Not sure about Cole, as he's not played enough to really deserve a spot.

Cole is by far the most consistent England Left Back and for that alone he is above Shaw for me. Shaw is unproven in big games so for this World Cup Cole is one or two for me.

I don't think his previous injuries made a blind bit of difference in that tackle. no one was walking away from that kind of contact unscathed.

While I agree I still feel a lot of these types of injuries are caused by fashion/sponsorship nature of the modern football boot.
