Haven't been using the forum really since before the season started and hardly any last season. Not much to say. I wrote the season off before it began, Moyes was left with a team that the spine of which has been weak and winning the championship last year was actually shocking as there was much better teams out there. Fergy had created that team and could pull that little bit extra out of them because the entire club was dictated by him.
We need a stronger central defense, a stronger central midfielder (fellani shouldnt been purchased), and the wide positions need serious assessment as with exception of Januzaj we been weak there. With RVP going back to being injured alot we need to think of a change of formation that has Rooney at the top (where he can do over 30goals a season from again), Mata in his better position in the hole and Januzaj on the left where he put in some his best performances.
Moyles needs to show some balls, get control of the players like he did at Everton, stop being scared of the job he in, get a consistant lineup and make sure he makes the right transfers instead of doing a Liverpool and buying trash like Fellani for too much money. Compare the price of Fellani to Ozil and then decide why was the purchase price of these <£10m apart when quality difference is massive.
This summer is going to need a massive reshovel of the squad. He doesnt need to panic buy, but he does need the spine of the team sorted and the problem just gets worse when players like Vidic are leaving the club.
I expect at least another poor season after this unless something drastic happens... but it doesnt matter who is manager, the situation will be the same. We had a weak team compared to others for a couple of years now and the factor that gave us the edge has retired, which means we are just that. A weak team in comparison to others with a few top players,
