I think Fergie's sold you a rum 'un @DaGaffer m8. He's not invested in the team for a long time like he used to and I think that's deliberate vanity on his part to protect his legacy.

The players know this and they're not putting a shift in - especially when a lot of them know they're going. How do you motivate someone who knows he's leaving at the end of the season anyway? As soon as the first few losses came in they stopped trying.

You'll spend big in the summer, but without the Fergie draw factor and the champion's league I think you might find it harder than you bargained for to attract the best players.

Effectively, you're Liverpool of the last couple of seasons - albeit with more than triple our money to spend.

Much as I hate to say it; I think Mourinho would have papered over the cracks this season much more effectively until he could create his own team. I was all for giving Moyes a fair go on the logic that United isn't like other teams; all its success has come from continuity and stability, and Fergie himself had a torrid time for years before he turned it around, but...the game is different, miss the CL for a season and United will be fine; miss it for two or three and things start to get tricky.

I also think that biggest mistake Moyes has made of all was not keeping some continuity going with the coaching staff; "his" people don't seem to have the respect of the players at all.

I think that he wanted people he knew around him so he could feel warm and fuzzy and safe. Big mistake.

He might of been able to do it a bit better since he has moved a lot compared to Moyes but I doubt it would be that much better, every one knows Fergie left a team with serious short comings and managed to get lucky last year to win the league.

Fucking hell you lot are like sharks in the water. I get that United aren't the most well liked team, but it's like everyone has just been waiting for this fall. It seems like every mate I have that is a Liverpool supporter is more interested in how badly United are doing this season than how well Liverpool are doing.

That must have been one of the worse performances I've ever seen from a United team. I know that Fergie used to play conservativly away from home in Europe, but you could actually FEEL the fact that the team had been told to go out and play for a draw last night. It was perhaps the most negative I can remember United playing in my lifetime.

For the first time I'm beginning to turn on Moyes. I hate to be that fan, I really do, but he just seems out of his depth. I might understand if it was a great team that had beaten them but it wasn't, it was a team that just had a lot more confidence.

Smalling had a mare. FRio needs to be told that from now if he keeps the ball at his feet for more than 3 seconds, he's dropped. Valencia was dogshite and Young continued to make pacy runs to exactly fucking nowhere. Don't even get me started on that fraud Cleverly. Scapegoat my fucking sweaty flute. I swear to god he makes runs into marked positions just so he has an excuse not to be on the ball. I honestly think it was 13 or 14 minutes in last night before he had a touch of the ball. Stone useless cunt.

Hey, anything to distract attention away from the clusterfuck that Tottenham's season is becoming. :)

At least you have an actual manager who, although he has no experience at a club the size of United, has a pretty solid track record with Everton. Sherwood got the job based on what he'd achieved with our reserve and U21 teams. I was sceptical at first, then I warmed to him (funnily enough, when we beat United :p ) but his lack of any sort of tactical ambition is really really starting to shine through. We've been lucky that Adebayor hit the ground running when he came back in but other than that, it's pretty depressing stuff.

There are all sorts of rumours starting to gain traction that Levy has been flirting with Louis Van Gaal and it's as good as nailed on once the World Cup is out of the way. I can't want this to be true badly enough.

You've (United, I mean) kind of painted yourself into a corner by claiming that you stick by your managers.

I think they should stick by their manager for at least the next 5 years.

And I agree with that thought process, but only up to a point.

What's getting under my skin is that the loss last night wasn't a result of tactical naivety or unpreparedness. It was the result of a real attitude problem that seems to exist in the team now. I get that a team needs time to adjust under a new manager and he needs to make the team his, but in my opinion by now Moyes should have firmly stamped the attitude he wants on this team.

If this is the attitude he thinks we should have, then Moyes out.

Trust me. I don't even bother looking at the United results unless someone posts them on here.

I thought I'd be laughing my arse off. But this season they're simply irrelevant.

I don't feel mirth or even pity unless someone points it out on here, and even then it's the fact that that reminds me that a lot of other people are laughing at them that makes me smile and laugh,

Having said that. If I was near a die-hard manc fan in real life (one who actually cared) I'd do my best to make him feel like he's been trying to make Liverpool fans feel for 20 years. I'd consider it my civic duty :)

The team just seems clueless atm. Even van persie said after last nights game that people have started running into space he used to move to, meaning he has had to start trying something else. Young and Valencia have never looked anything other than rubbish. Even when they beat a man their crossing has been awful.

Not the first time its happened. Players who are on a low wage but who earn high appearance fees will sue more and more. If you can prove the tackle was reckless the guy that tackled you cost you all that money.

It's not even the lower league we see it, Anichebe attempted to sue Kevin Nolan when he was at Newcastle for a challenge that kept him out for a while.

I'm no Liverpool fan but I'm bloody loving Manchester United's shortcoming this season, its absolutely brilliant. Even more so all the Mancs from all over the world throwing a strop cause they're not the top dogs for one. Long may it continue!

Who is throwing a strop? I'm resigned to the fact that this season is a write off, but moyes needs to cull the average players from the squad this summer. If he can do that he deserves another season to prove himself.

I wasn't referring to you Ch3t or anyone on this site for that matter, but have a listen to Talksport when the topic is Man U, or simply look all over social media. It's a blast.

I don't think Moyes is good enough. He has taken a club with no money and kept them close to the top four...yeah fair play to him, however he has no real CL experience and has not managed a top team before.
Unfortunately I cannot think of a suitable example so I will use Mick McCarthy (apologies if I am wildly wrong on him). He gets clubs into the EPL, however he does bugger all when they are promoted. You use him to get promoted, then bring in someone else.

I just don't think Moyes has the reputation to lure top players, nor has he proved himself on the world stage.

2012-2013 - 6th
2011-2012 - 7th
2010-2011 - 7th
2009-2010 - 8th
2008-2009 - 5th

Is Moyes fantastic at Everton? Fuck yeah, but he's unproven with a top team.
