Great balance we have right now with the defensive line not being too high, but high enough to offer support when we're pressing without the ball - which we're also doing a great job of. I think I want to agree with you but I just can't say the words. I'm going to keep on saying "we'll see" until another outcome is mathematically impossible.

We need to sack off rio now, we should be playing evans a vidic every time, smalling and jones need to playing as their backup players. We should have paid for baines, as evra can't play each game - or give butner a chance.

TBH the squad was never good enough, it hasn't been for a couple of years now, and without Fergies touch all the flaws are showing. Midfield is far worse than defence though. We either need to buy and clear out the trash or give Anderson, Zaha, Butner etc lots of chances to prove themselves. If we don't wint anything but at least develop the kids then it's not a total loss.

Totally agree, we were unlucky on the night against Everton, but we looked toothless today, no creativity at all. Everyone seems off the pace. I expected a down turn in results after Fergie went due to the state of the squad he was leaving. All the top clubs apart from Arsenal are dropping daft points, but it's a big story because it's Utd and that is fair enough. I'd be more pissed off if I was a Chelsea or City Supporter due to the players they have available for selection.

Tbh if City can sort out their away form (didn't look like it happened today but I'm only going off BBC live text) they will be unstoppable. Their GD is *mental* and that's mostly from just home games.

True, yet the 'title challengers' have all buggered up at the 'shit' (e.g. Cardiff, Hull, Villa, etc) where as this Arsenal side have yet to come truly unstuck.

I can't help but feel we've turned into that slightly older version of Arsenal, you know the one where you have plenty of the ball do some fancy stuff as well as lots of passing and score some goals but have a defence that is just too porous to stop teams scoring too many goals against you....also I'm fairly sure we must by now have the worst set piece goals conceded record this season.
