He hasn't even landed yet. This is an agreement of terms. Spurs will make it official once he's had his medical but, because Rome are publicly owned, they have to immediately inform of major deals like this.
The good thing about publicly listed companies like Roma is that they are obligated to immediately inform of major deals like this: The news are out on the stock exchange too: http://www.borsaitaliana.it/borsa/azioni/scheda.html?isin=IT0001008876&lang=it
Watching Piers Morgan's meltdown on twitter is glorious.

OK scratch that, it turns out we did his medical yesterday and he passed with flying colours. Secret medicals ftw! :)

Also, this is an interesting (and possible meaningless) little tidbit from an "ITK":
Relations between some of the individuals involved in Bale negotiations remain tense. But the move for Willian by Chelsea was widely disliked and it pushed parties together. As I said last Friday, there is something called the Law of Unintended Consequences. It’s 50:50 but the consequence of Chelsea’s cleverness might just be that a better player than Willian turns up at WHL, at least for one season. Just to be clear, this would be on top of Lamela.

I have heard Spuds want Bale for the derby. The move is agreed but Spuds want him to play then transfer Monday. Bale wants none of it. He does not see why he should risk getting injured and seeing the move dissolve just for one game. It COULD explain him refusing to play as it is another example of spuds changing the rules to delay the move.

Plenty of people think he will flop in the Premiership. They think he is a big fish small pond type of player.

I saw that, I think I saw it on the beeb live text. I don't remember who either but it did make me think "you pansy".

Tonight was Newcastle's first shot on target of the season. :\

No it wasn't, Tiote had a shot on target vs Man City. The only one we've had in our two PL games mind!

We've agreed an €11m fee for Eriksen! Negotiating terms in Amsterdam tonight.

Cheers mate.

Will be interesting to see how he copes in a much tougher league.

Wouldn't worry bout the gloves though, he's used to danish winter, not much differrent to the british. :)

So, 38M for Baines and Fellaini (if the Mirror is to be believed, which it usually isn't). Seems like a fair bid to me. I won't be entirely satisfied if United get this over the line, but its not bad. They could have done it about two months ago though.

More worried about the rumours of Hernandez to the Spuds though. They're certainly not interested in letting the Bale money "rest" in their account are they?

I think we offered £~7m and you want £15m, I'd pay it tbh he's class. I can see him wanting more playing time in a WC season as well (although there probably isn't as much competition for places in the Mexican team as others).

I'm getting slightly scared now, we're on the brink of signing Eriksen and then...
We have not finished with Spain yet. All depends on outgoing on striker front. If we do another prodigy could be on the horizon, Age under 21 and covers any of front three positions. Fee would be in region of 22m Euros.

Name withheld but not from RM. May I add only a serious possibility dependent upon both clubs but there is positive noises that we would be successful if pursued.
If we get Eriksen wrapped up there could be a triple announcement (Lamela, Chiriches and Eriksen) in half-time at the Tbilisi game tonight.

I have said it before but Arsenal seem to wrack up a massive amount of injuries every single season!
