Uh-oh, is this the build-up to nothing happening? If you look at the players who play [against Fenerbahce], they are top quality players. You should never forget that. It is not always to think what is outside is better than what you have. What is important as well is to rate what you have and our fans have to understand that as well.
Arsène Wenger hits back in strong defence of Arsenal's lack of spending

The game has changed - unless Arsenal get a sugar daddy they wont really be title contenders realistically.
There is the problem. Usmanov is the richest guy in Brittan. It looks like he wants to be a sugar daddy but we are waiting and hoping the FFP will come in a mean something which will leave us in a strong position. The game has changed - unless Arsenal get a sugar daddy they wont really be title contenders realistically.

I saw yesterday that Tony Adams would be interested. To be replaced with who - great managers are thin on the ground.
Dennis Bergkamp is the man for the job he is doing his training at Ajax and I think he will be our next manager.I saw yesterday that Tony Adams would be interested.![]()
I thought they might be a bit unhappy with AOC for that tweet, after his manager came out and said something completely different.Arsenal are hopeful that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's verdict on his knee injury proves to be on the pessimistic side. The England midfielder has claimed he faces a three-month lay-off, while manager Arsene Wenger is reckoning on being without the 20-year-old for "at least six weeks".
Wenger attempted to quell fears over a long-term absence when he spoke ahead of the Champions League play-off first leg against Fenerbahce, but hours later Oxlade-Chamberlain detailed on his Twitter page that he was facing three months out of the game.
Oxlade-Chamberlain wrote: "Gutted i'm injured so early in the season, But I'm going to be working hard to hopefully be back playing in 3 months. Thanks 4 all ur support."
It was a different take on his situation to Wenger's own appraisal, after the Frenchman said: "He will be out for at least six weeks, he has a posterior cruciate problem, a ligament which is stretched."
Willian is done and dusted*, Lamela is having his medical today*, Coentrao* + £80m is coming our way* when Bale goes to RM*.

So ive currently been auditing a professional football club in the football league. leagues 2 and 1 and this year, the championship are subject to the new fifa fair play rules. At the moment, the same said rules will apply to the premierleague from next season or the season after. Want to know how much of a mockery they are? Well, at the moment, a club is allowed to spend 55% of various income streams such as gate receipts, bar receipts, advertising, money from the FA etc on wages. If they are over this 55% they get hit with a transfer embargo. However, and here is the mockery bit, to make up the short fall of income, someone is allowed to put their own money in as a donation and 100% of this donation is allowed to be spent on wages, not just 55%! So in effect, Man City and Chelsea will be no different as they are now as they have owners who are rich enough personally to put their own money into the club.
