I have seen my favorite transfer Rumor of the day. Liverpool are set to sell Agger to Roma for £12m and but Lallana for £10m.

That is too much for Agger and as he is English before the world cup Lallana will be double that at least?

Well since 27m is what United are offering for Shaw, yeah 10m isn't close to enough for Lallana, especially given the "home-grown" premium.

I think we'll sign an extension with Agger. He's much better than Sakho, who for some crazy reason brenda prefers over Agger (another example of why I say Rodgers doesn't know how to set up a defence - and our worst defensive record in one hundred years backs that up).

If Sakho is worth 20 million, Agger is worth at least that. And in the past, under a different manager, we had a much better defence.

Bring back Reina - he commanded his area - sell Mignolet, who's a fucking liability at worst, solid backup at best, and we'll have the beginnings of a return to defensive form...

My hunch is that Brendons idea behind switching Sakho for Agger is Agger's injury history, and I'm guessing Brendon wanted to bring stability into that possition.
He failed, but never the less I still think that's the primary reason. Aggers history with injury is also why he wont be worth much more than the before mentioned £12 mill.

£180million isn't much these days in football terms.

It reads more like that is the amount he thinks it'll take, not necessarily what he will spend...either way I think it would require more than that.

That said if we don't sign a new LB then we should keep him, just make sure he's not driving when we offer him a reduced contract.
