RVP's sending off against Barca for kicking the ball after the whistle had blown was a clear case of bullshit...makes you wonder...

The weird thing to me is, when they talk about Germany they mention €13.8m in dodgy bets. In gambling terms that's nothing, (to give you a feel for the numbers involved, sports betting in the US alone -where its illegal! - is worth about a trillion dollars - probably more as I'm behind the times on these things; Chilly would probably have a more accurate idea) and how much would they have to bribe players to make it worth their while? For professional footballers I would assume a pretty high number.

Not really the right player in the right circumstance could be very cheap.

There are a lot of stories that Danny Graham was allowed to leave Swansea because he was having problems with drinking and gambling. And there have always been stories of players who all but sign their wages over to bookmakers to dover debts. Get a player in that situation and you can bribe them into doing what you want at very low cost potentially.

It's not a lot overall but if it's a few people benefiting then it's a very tidy sum indeed. I am sure there are plenty of footballers where a couple of hundred thousand would be tempting and certainly match officials.

Frank Lampard has no assists & is 94th in chances created this season. He's scored 10. It's almost as if he trying to make an impression.

"Rafa's runners up 2012" except in the prem where he's dragging us down into a battle for fourth despite us being 4 points off top when he arrived :(
