It's in The Sun so who knows but reportedly Wilshere has signed a 5 year deal for £80k a week. That's great value and commitment to the club from him when Stirling wants £75k and Theo wants £85k.

80k a week for a 20 year old who has already sat out a year injured? Not sure about that.

But £75k for Stirling who has played 30 games is ok? Jack has come back from that injury well so far. So fingers crossed in the long run it will be a good deal.

Apparently Sturridge to Liverpool is a "done deal"

There goes our last striker :(

God I hope not. There are two possibilities that are equally as likely:

1. He continues to be a beast and dominates for chelsea.

2. Chelsea ruin another top caliber striker.

Falcao is a different striker though, he's a worker, Torres is a finisher, we require a worker and somebody who doesn't mind being knocked about by big centre halfs. (no homo)
We got Torres off form, and he hasn't got it back since, as much as I like the player, it's time to let him go.

Second by 4 points, you would be looking at the £45?m release clause if they wanted him.

Hopefully though Torres fucks off in the other direction if it materialises.

The form he has been in, £45m won't put Roman off i'd have thought. Why risk losing him to City?

True dat, I don't think Roman would be adverse the the pricetag, especially considering how much he spent on Torres with the form he was in, he'll match anything anyone else would put on the table, but comes down to whether Athletico are willing to sell.

They wont be given a choice. No money in Spain outside of Barca/Real. Anything round 60m euros and you'd have thought they'd be under massive pressure from shareholders to sell whilst they can.

Failpool also on the verge of signing Thomas Ince. Releasing a player than signing him back 2 years later for £6m... classic Liverpool

Different manager.

To be fair - I don't want him back. Neither Sturridge, Ince or anybody mentioned in connection with Liverpool has set the world alight.

Edit: And I don't believe the 6m figure. I'd heard 4.

Sterling to sign 5-year 30k-a-week deal.

That's a lot of money for the kid, but if he comes good then it'll be seen as a bargain.

Ince looks a real prospect. A very liverpool signing right now though. Likes to play in the same position as Shelvey so don't get it in that respect.

Ince is actually on par with Zaha (and Sako) as the best players in the Champ.

I think Ramsey is a mistake tbh. Not sure about Gibbs either.
Ramsey has the potential to be the next Denilson and Gibbs just depends on the terms and length of Contract. But it is either this or let them demand 3 times as much when they have 18 months left on their contracts.

We know Ramsey has the ability: pre-Shawcross he was very nearly there, his passing and vision and touch were all very very good. I even commented at the time before the injury his vision and passing range was starting to approach that of Fabregas'

Unfortunately it's taking him a while to get back to his best. The time out and time on the wing have not helped him. It's definitely too early to give up on him, as he's a very useful squad player even if he doesn't fill his potential in the next few years.
