Yeah sign a 3 year contract, get sacked after 6 months get paid to sit at home for 2 and half years. I could live with that.

Our u-21s have qualified for the Elite stages, where we are only a few victories away from an invite into the NextGen series.

:D.

Looks like we've signed young Brazilian right-back Wallace.

Team in full: Szczesny, Jenkinson, Squillaci, Vermaelen, Meade, Rosicky, Coquelin, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ramsey, Gervinho, Chamakh.
Subs: Shea, Monteiro, Hajrovic, Angha, Arshavin, Ansah, Akpom.

This does not fill me with glee :(

So? More than likely Schalke will win anyway so we're highly unlikely to top the group.

We have a small core list of players and they need a break, fielding them in a pointless away fixture in Greece would do more harm to the PL campaign.

So the prospect of losing does not make me happy whatever the reason.

I would love another angle on that, is Szcz did not touch it and the cunt ref 4 foot away got it wrong then the by line officials are officially useless.

Please sell Chamakh, I would rather see Ansah or Akpom than him for 90 minutes. He started well but he seems to be a confidence players and he is never going to get a long enough run here to get back to his best he needs to be sold or loaned out.

Mancini is lucky his boss is not Russian or he would be sacked in the morning.

Expecting juve to lose today and us to drop points, would be hilarious. In Rafa we trust ;-)

Chelsea interim boss Rafael Benitez has hailed striker Fernando Torres as "amazing" - at defending corners.

I was in absolute disbelief when I read that article, he is doing the exact same deflection he did at Liverpool, cringeworthy.

What's he supposed to say? "Torres is a pup. Abramovich bought an injured pony that's broken."

??

He's defending his player. Abramovich has obviously brought him in to see if he can get Torres firing again. That starts with confidence.

Torres is obviously doing some of his job well - so Rafa's highlighting that. Who knows if Rafa can get him firing again - but he won't if Chelski "fans" are on their back.

Perhaps they should try getting behind their team instead of acting like spoiled children who've gotten too much too easily?

West Ham have been named as preferred bidder for the Olympic Stadium. Cunts.

It will cost over £130m to convert the Stadium. Newham Council (one of the poorest in the country) will provide a £40m loan to help cover this. West Ham will be committing 15 million. Why is the public sector taking on all the risk here? What makes them think they can fill a 60,000 seat stadium when their home games don't even sell out now? Just look at City. Even with monumental investment they don't fill their ground consistently.

Why the fuck wasn't this sorted out before it was even built? West Ham are only preferred bidders - it still isn't even over officially. How can they possibly have designed a £500m stadium with no idea what it would be used for afterwards?

Welcome to the legacy of pretty much every Olympic Games ever. Believe it or not, London is actually one of the better planned legacies in that regard. In answer to your question about the public sector taking the risk, its because keeping the stadium active also means the infrastructure around it stays active, and it creates income and jobs.
