How were we sitting on it? Liverpool didn't have a single shot on target until they scored, we played almost the entire game in their half. Don't talk shit.

They were worse until they scored, it doesn't mean we weren't sitting on a 1-0 lead or at least doing very little to finish off the game properly.

We now lack nearly all our senior players, our defence is problematic far too often and we've also not got a real striker. I was willing to give Torres a chance, even though I thought buying him was a mistake at the time, but now time is running out and he has no real excuses left.

Actually he did, he had a re-occurance of head problems which had previously effected him in Mexico, he was getting blurred vision, headaches and some balance issues on occasion. That is why his form dipped and he was benched.

Lol. Possession means absolutely nothing when all you do is pass it across the half way line and back, just look at Celtic vs Barcelona last week. Your first shot on target was a goal and then you were decent after being buoyed by that, completely and utterly outplayed until that point and lucky not to be 2-3 goals down. If Mata and Oscar hadn't fluffed easy chances this would have been such an easy win. Haven't seen a team come and play more negative and listless football at the bridge this season since Stoke. Gerrard would have fit right in with Stoke too as it goes with his constant 50 yard punts.

Neither side's a great side. Chelski aren't winning the league this year unless you manage to get Drogba back on top form

Hopefully we recall Lukaku in January, we definitely need to replace Torres with something and Drogba2 wouldn't be a bad start.

I think should Torres/Sturridge fail to find any semblance of form then RDM's hand is forced. I'm not sure what more can be done for Torres, he has the best supply on offer in the league and 7 goals in 17 games is what, 1 goal per 1.5 games, not bad but the amount of chances he spoons is criminal. I would love to see more of Lukaku but I think at the moment he is still very raw and would do better to stay at WBA until the summer to fine tune his play in the PL.

Notable games between now and January include Juve away, City at home, Everton away, 11 in total but subject to change with the world club championship in Decemer. If nothing good comes of a striker by then I wouldn't rule out going in for Schurrle again.

I personally never thought we should of bought him when we did and certainly not for the sum paid, even though once he arrived I was willing to give him a lot of time to get back to form but I'm not sure how much more can be done for Torres. In reality the last excuse I spoke about earlier was Drogba but he left and Torres got the primary striker role and while there has been a minor improvement in performance it is no way near enough in my opinion to keep him in a protected position/role.

I'm surprised they didnt make more of liverpools complete lack of celebratiln after the goal. Suarez ran to the corner to celebrate everyone else just trudged back to the centre circle, very odd.

TBF if the JT allegations were shakey in a court of law with the video evidence there was fuck all chance of this one holding up.

That said I can see Bruce Buck's point that if Chelsea had decided to cover it up they probably would've been shafted harder than they have by reporting the incident. by the press if not the FA too.
