Did they not say that Carrlol asked for £36m in wages over 6 years? Which is over £100k a week signing him will be an expensive prospect.

Crazy - I dont personally think Carroll is a good fit for spurs - playing 'hoof it up to the big guy' football would be a step backwards and very disappointing...

Lots of talk here in Denmark about City having made two bids on Daniel Agger. First at £13m and second at £16m. Both turned down by Liverpool. Any news on that in England? He's said that, out of respect to Liverpool, that he'd never move to another British club. There has also been talk about Real Madrid and Barcelona having and interest, but neither have many any bids yet

Tbh Agger seems to be one of the few players left that has a bit of respect for their club. I would be surprised if he went to City.
I would be dissapointed if he went to RM/Barca but at the same time I would understand it. One of the top 5 best CBs imho (if he only was not so injury prone!).

one of the few things that isnt a lolfest when it comes to liverpool is a back 3 of Reina, Agger & Squirtle when they're all fit, so he would be a huge loss for them.

Don't Liverpool have a lot of faith in Coates though so to bring him though Agger or Skirtle will have to move on.

Coates will never be good enough, they can have all the faith they like but he just doesn't have what it takes to be a regular in a top 4 side. Agger and Skirtel injury free and on form are vastly superior.

He's very young and a promising player. Could do with more first team action but I don't see any reason why he can't make the grade if he's given time and managed correctly.

Yup, he's still young and Liverpool have the Europa League this season for players like him.

Agger not in the Liverpool troop tonight. His agent says "no comment, ask the manager or the club"

Randy Lerner has sold the Browns for, apparently, over $1bn. Could be happy days for Villa.

It's a surprise but we need to do something. If the price is right... Although I would like to think we could do a lot better if we ever actually get rid of Modric for what we want for him.

We also have Tom Carroll coming into the first team this season, I hope.

He's a fantastic player. We had him at Orient when we came 7th and went on an FA cup run.

Cheap band aid to cover up the ground roots problems in English football. Utterly meaningless really as most decent 18-21 players wont be able to play due to club commitments.

Yep, more loss making strip mall's being funded out of United's profits. They aren't paying down the debts on the club so much as paying down the debts on their property business which is a fucking disaster at the moment.

That etihad deal is starting to look less outrageous, haven't heard anything about that being blocked by ffp.
