at 1-0 it was 5/1 for a barcelona come-back, looking like pretty good odds atm

UEFA's starting 11 of 2011 with 4.5 million votes in a 4-4-2 formation and just three players outside La Liga

Iker Casillas
Daniel Alves - Gerard Piqué - Thiago Silva - Marcelo
Arjen Robben - Xavi Hernández - Andrés Iniesta - Gareth Bale
Lionel Messi - Cristiano Ronaldo

Manager: Josep Guardiola
How does this make you feel?

I don't know who I'd replace him with....but I sure as hell wouldn't have Bale. Other than that I'm not sure where I could argue.

Let's see how Spain looks in 5 years time after that fucking crooked tax loophole is closed though!

Much better than the FIFA team of the year at least. I'd ditch Bale, put Ronaldo on the wing and introduce RVP or Cavani.

Also I don't know who I'd have in goal but it certainly wouldn't be Casillas.

Rumours that Arsenal will put in a 18 mill offer for Ba.
That would be silly as its widely reported he has a buy out clause for under 10 :) Also not sure how he would feel about being number 2.

Wazz doesn't even need to be correct about the source to call bullshit, his buyout clause is only around the £8m mark. It's all down to him whether he wants to move or not, well that and how much other clubs are willing to pay him.

Also he's an injury risk. Had a period of time where he hasn't been injured but he does have underlying issues with (I think) his knees.

You'd imagine so if he failed to get through his Stoke medical for that reason, guess Newcastle were willing to take the risk.

Why would he want to move now? Maybe in a year or two but at the moment it would just be a move sideways.

I couldn't give a flying one to be honest. Aware of football outside the UK but not really sure why anyone would give a crap about a team other than their local one, let alone one in another blinking country.

Stoke were also looking at a 9 million pound fee to purchase Ba, Newcastle got him for shite all and his contract is based upon appearances as well, not really a gamble at all.

Do you even particularly like football? Or is it just the feeling of superiority it seems to give you?

Villa fans are still reeling after the bad news about Emile Heskey and the African Cup of Nations.

He isn't going.

Shame it won't happen at Liverpool tbfh. The new owners floated the idea but it got quickly shot down by the hillsborough group.

Harsh as it sounds, there's nothing like dead family members to block your ability to listen to reason :(
