They have dropped 2 points in 12 games. That is amazing but tainted in my eye as the near £200m loss shows they are buying it. To a city fan though that will not matter a jot.
Only in the CL but while teams like Barce live out of their means too the new rules will not be enforced they are a joke. A hard salary cap based on TV and Gate receipts will be the only way to sort that. They are screwed when the new FIFA rules come through though...

but if the 400m Ethid deal gets removed off the books by Uefa they are well and truelly fucked, and it been stated it is being investigated... not that i expect anthing to be done about itthey aren't though, the rules don't come in till 2013 and there is a three year period to break even. Also they can claim a lot of their spending in development which gets offset.
Thing is, if City are out of CL, they have pretty much won the Prem with no questions asked![]()
Seeing as how it's a joke competition, they will probably play their kids / reserve team and still win itThey also go into the Europa league playing shitty fixtures at shitty locations and very little recovery time. And they will be favorites so the premiership ain't over at all, if anything tonight proved they still have a long way to go before winning it.

Tbh Man City's group is insane, no idea how Man Utd always seem to get the easy draws :S
By the way, I was on the train home from Wembley the other week and it was literally full of people.. with a ton of kids on the train.. literally EVERY SINGLE ONE of them supports Man City, sickening! even kids up to the age of 15/16.. bah, didn't see anyone under the age of 16 who supported any other team..
Its about 400m over the life of the deal, yes it is earmarked for academy... but the income is included in the Uefa rules, whereas the expenditure that it meant for isnt. That means that over the life of the deal they are 400m better off (35-40m a year). Its not 400m. Its 35million a year, its funding their academy project, thats all youth development. A frw astute moves and continued turnover at the same level and they will easily meet thr fair play rules. Dont forget their books are still healthier than barcas.
