I agree, although if they come through the next month with a good record I think they'll win it regardless.

Liverpool away
Arsenal away
Norwich home
Bayern home
Chelsea away
Arsenal home
Stoke home

They have dropped 2 points in 12 games. That is amazing but tainted in my eye as the near £200m loss shows they are buying it. To a city fan though that will not matter a jot.

Only in the CL but while teams like Barce live out of their means too the new rules will not be enforced they are a joke. A hard salary cap based on TV and Gate receipts will be the only way to sort that.

they aren't though, the rules don't come in till 2013 and there is a three year period to break even. Also they can claim a lot of their spending in development which gets offset.

but if the 400m Ethid deal gets removed off the books by Uefa they are well and truelly fucked, and it been stated it is being investigated... not that i expect anthing to be done about it

Thing is, if City are out of CL, they have pretty much won the Prem with no questions asked :p

They also go into the Europa league playing shitty fixtures at shitty locations and very little recovery time. And they will be favorites so the premiership ain't over at all, if anything tonight proved they still have a long way to go before winning it.

Seeing as how it's a joke competition, they will probably play their kids / reserve team and still win it :D

Tbh Man City's group is insane, no idea how Man Utd always seem to get the easy draws :S

By the way, I was on the train home from Wembley the other week and it was literally full of people.. with a ton of kids on the train.. literally EVERY SINGLE ONE of them supports Man City, sickening! even kids up to the age of 15/16.. bah, didn't see anyone under the age of 16 who supported any other team..

Its not 400m. Its 35million a year, its funding their academy project, thats all youth development. A frw astute moves and continued turnover at the same level and they will easily meet thr fair play rules. Dont forget their books are still healthier than barcas.

Thats the thing though the failure to qualify means they really have to try and win the competition, already people are questioning his team selection against Napoli, the same people who two weeks ago were saying they were playing like Barcelona and looked unstoppable. The difference between last night was they had to win to keep qualification in their own hands and they bottled it. Theres a difference between thinking you shuold win something and then having the backbone to go out and do it!

Its about 400m over the life of the deal, yes it is earmarked for academy... but the income is included in the Uefa rules, whereas the expenditure that it meant for isnt. That means that over the life of the deal they are 400m better off (35-40m a year).
So take that income out and they dont have that bonus money to help prop up the books that little bit more

A man goes into Subway and asks for the biggest most expensive sub that they have. The Subway guy gives him Fernando Torres.

What a goal for Arsenal. Song beat about 3 players and a great header from RVP
