Yeh Alexis Sanchez despite being amazing and leading Udinese to 4th in the Serie A, having a decent Copa America for Chile and being considered one of the greatest talents available, but yeh, it's because he plays for Barca.

Suarez I agree with as as Uruguay has been the story of the international scene, but domestically has done nothing.

Arguably yes. He's an exciting talent who (along with Di Natale) took the Udine side into the CL playing enjoyable football along the way, he was the best player in Serie A last season. For the whole of 2011 this is remember, where he has had a good copa, an excellent season and earnt a move to the best club in the world, deserves a spot in there tbh.

Cambiasso did what exactly? Milito did what? Ibrah/Pato you may have a point as they won the Serie A but still were not considered the best player from there.

As for Vidic/Nani, well, defenders seldom ever make it to there and Vidic has been crocked/useless for Serbia. Nani I dont know, though I rate Sanchez higher.

Ohlol Cannavaro, note I said defenders seldom ever make it there.. that doesn't mean that some of them don't but the Ballon d'Or has always had a preference for the attacking players.
