capello shouldn't take rooney to the euros, i'd guarantee he wouldn't do that stupid shit again after that

I agree.. not to mention he won't be able to play most the games.. but then again who else is there to take? Bent? Defoe? Zamora?

Only a few more days until Liverpool v Man Utd :) can't wait, I hate these silly breaks.

I'd take him as punishment :p

And the small matter of him being our best player.

Ashley Young is probably our best player now based on form for club and country, Rooney can be when he wants to though it seems...

Can't say I agree on Young, he's a bit inconsistent and Rooney is just better anyway imo

While I agree Rooney is our best player at the moment, since when has that mattered anyway? The England team is picked by name, not by form.

I'm quite surprised about the extent of the Rooney ban as I bet the UEFA marketing people are having a fit. Danger for the FA is that UEFA could increase the ban if the appeal fails.

The 3 match ban is a disgrace. Typical of Uefa to come down on England like this, but let the shit that goes on with regards to Barcalona in the Champions league slide without a word.

Bollocks, article 10(e):
suspension for three competition matches or for a specified period for
assaulting another player or other person present at the match

He booted the back of the blokes legs FFS.

It's Rooney's own fucking fault, just a shame he doesn't do it at United and get a proper fucking bollocking from Fergie (I doubt he'd dare do it)

He should still probably go, I mean we took fucking Walcott to the 2006 WC and he didn't play - and I'm sure there are other instances of players in the 23 not playing.

Maybe it'll be a blessing, Rooney is yet to have decent tournament for England. Perhaps we'll learn to play as a team and be better because of it... I doubt it somehow :p

Sturridge and Welbeck, we need to start trying players out, use the friendlys for a reason rather than cash for the FA, like someone's already mentioned do what Germany done and start from scratch

It was a petulant kick, I don't disagree but 3 matches is harsh.

Pretty much everyone is better than England at the moment and have been for some time.

I can't see it getting any better with the current system. Total lack of imagination or balls by both the manager and most importantly the FA.

Yes England are shit at the moment but we are certainly better than Denmark. Not nearly as good as NL, Germany or Spain tho.

Based on what??
On Current form ?

And your not even close to the likes of spain, germany or holland.
England falls in just above teams like sweden, denmark, chezc's etc.
But not at Current form.

Didn't England win the last game they had against Denmark? Not saying either is better, I couldn't care less. International football hasn't been good for years and years. The disgraceful way the English international setup is run doesn't exactly help my apathy towards international football either. :p

i'd love to see how fergie would do with England tbh. I think he would do a great job, sadly it won't happen though

I think there are better suited managers to international football than Fergie, he's great at consistently building solid squads for leagues but not so much first 11s that dominate tournaments.

Perhaps, but i think the international job scene also requires a dominant respectable manager. I feel the players dont respect Capello, respect his selection methods or whatever. The same was with Mclaren. Im think Fergie could put players in their places, and do what he does best. And maybe drop the 6 million salary hes on.

fucking early kick-off tomorrow, so inconvenient following a friday night.

should be an interesting game, Liverpool have spanked Man Utd at Anfield for a few years in a row now, they always look like they want it way more. I wonder if they'll keep it up, sounds like Utd have more or less their first choice 11 available.

Really hope United do them though!

It's pretty much make or break if Liverpool want to challenge for 1st/2nd/3rd

Well yes, 2-1 but if you look at the past 20 years, it quite even tbh.
England has won 3 Denmark 2, 1 draw. England have scored 9 goals denmark 8. Thats about as even as even gets. So saying that England is definatly/clearly better. is utter Horse shit, becuase well, they arent!

Once that said however, facts are that England should! be
Bigger league, far bigger population, and bigger stars, i could go on.
hell London on it's own has close to twice the population of Denmark ;)

I used to like England and root for them when ever they played vs Germany, Spain, France etc. but I have to admit that alot of English fans have changed that for me.

adjust your expectations, be proud of your team, hope for the best, suppport them, priase them for their merrits and maybe just maybe the players will once again find the passion to play for your danmed national side. and then just maybe, you'll have a shot at one of the bigger titles, god knows you have the talent for it.
