If he leaves it's much more likely to be a club that can actually win the Champions League.

Anzhi have more money then any club in the world. It's a possibility.. who would have thought they would land Eto'o?

It's not a move he needs but £350k a week would be hard to ignore. If he will not sign let's hope for a bidding war. But I think if he leaves he is RM bound.

They have a lot but not more than everyone, the reality is who would actually want to play there for any thing other than the pay.

350 grand a week. Tax free. Bit more than "a few extra quids". The football equivalent of working on an oil rig. Its Fuck You money by anyone's standards and that can turn anyone's head if its enough.

And who's to say Anzhi won't be a Champion's League contender if they pull this project off? The Russian league is definitely up and coming.

That's €1BN over five years. I kind of assume he's expecting to get some financial return out of those players. His biggest problem will be the UEFA financial fair play rules, not whether he can pay the bills, especially as its probably not his money being used anyway.

I think Spurs should get it because it'd piss everyone off. West Ham fans, Leyton Orient fans, Athletics fans and especially Spurs fans.

It's all a load of nonsense.

I haven't mentioned any hate for Stoke/Pulis recently, so here's a quote from the Gillingham chairman:

Paul Scally (chairman)
"In my 37 years of working with many, many people, Tony Pulis is the most evil, despicable person I have ever worked with. I have never doubted his coaching ability, in fact I’ve always said Tony was a very good coach, but I don’t have much more to say about him. The reason the team performed so well in 1999 was they were a great bunch of lads. My grandmother could have run that team that day. It was a game that people still talk about."

And the story about him trying to blackmail the chairman/club:

Yeh because we all know the saint that Scally is.

LOL@France. I don't think if they lose they'll end up playing Ireland again though; on current standings Ireland should be in the top half of the play-off draw, so it will be Turkey, Estonia, Montenegro or the Czech Republic (I think).

Yeh lol at losing to that Bosnia team containing Dzeko, Pjanic, Misimovic and the like, it's like losing to Andorra...

Gratz to Estonia, now that team is a true minnow. Whoever says that the group setup in europe isnt beneficial clearly didnt see this years qualifying with minnows like Armenia and Estonia going quite far and doing well.

It's hardly playing Spain though is it, and at home. I'd expect England to beat Bosnia at home.

I don't think anyone is saying it's pointless having the likes of Estonia in the qualifiers, more like San Marino, Luxembourg, Andorra etc - teams where it is just a complete of time going there.

If anyone knew there slice they'd full well know that France are in a transistion period whilst Bosnia are in what could be considered a 'golden generation'. Theres no 'LOL' at France drawing to such a team.

Those countries will never improve shearly due to population size, so they can be discounted totally, but the true minnows with actual growth potential it shows that its a good sign.
