£10m for Jagielka is a fair price when you consider hes 29 with no CL experience. Porto got £22m for Bruno Alves, a superior player with greater experience so £10m for Jagielka kinda makes sense. Although according to the independent today, Jagielka doesnt see Arsenal much of a step up so wants to stay put :lol:

Nothing but an overrated lazy dickhead. That said, I think Utd have a brilliant defensive partnership for the future in Smalling and Jones. With the experience of Vidic and Ferdinand to help them on, I think Fergie has (once again) made two extremely astute signings.

Here's hoping Romeu's move to Chelsea turns out to be similarly astute. As far as I understand it he plays a holding midfield role usually? Can't in all honesty say I've seen anything of the kid, but if he's any good it could add further fuel to the idea that Essien might be cashed in on. Though I'd sooner see Mikel go than Essien, but that may be a slightly sentimental view given Mikel is younger and hasn't had anything like the injury problems Essien has had.
