Zlatan actually has a second touch, unlike the white Micheal Ricketts whos second touch is a tackle :D

I agree but it's usually taken 5 yards from the position of his first one. Zlatan is gobbing and you know it. :)

He didnt fit in with us, but hes not crap. Carroll will never be anywhere near the class of Ibrahmovic

Your post makes alot more sense than a video of one really good goal and I will take that onboard. It has probably been bad luck that I have never really seen him shine in any live games that I have watched, obviously his record does show that he has something about him though. Still, the hype seems over the top, much like the hype surrounding Chicharito in that yes he is a very good finisher but he still has some way to go to be considered truely world class, unlike the hype that the media are spouting on a daily basis. The good thing is that the lad knows it, he is humble and knows there are many aspects of his game that he can improve upon, definately a winning attitude and I wish we had ten more young players with the same mentality. Fergie seems to be steering the ship in that direction though, happy days. :)

Then you have not watched enough of Serie A, simple as that :)

As much as you? Definately not, maybe 10-15 games a season. Still, I have seen him play probably 50 times over the years and he has never really done anything special in those games, don't get me wrong he has been good and I can see why he is playing in top teams but I have never really seen what all the hype is about. Does that make sense?

Downing signed, around 16-20m it seems, and Aston villa have bid 10m for n'Zogbia.

:/ Downing is probably a better player for us at the moment, and I'm glad we finally signed a natural decent(ish) winger, but I would have preferred zogbia for 10m if they do get him for that..

The Zog will probably go for £12-£13m in the end, and don't forget he only has one year left on his contract. He's a decent player but has a serious attitude problem - not sure how he'll fit in at Villa in the McLeish era. Still, anything above relegation and it will be a result.

Is anyone who reads Sky Sports or similar sites getting a bit bored with all the Pastore talk? Everyday there's a new article about him, but noone has put a bid in for him yet!

thats the problem with 24hr news isnt it. They just fill it with shit mostly, rumors about players theyve heard down the pub, and basically linking everyone with 2 legs and a pair of football boots with the teams that have money.

Des Kelly has written a cracking article in the Daily Fail about how tedious the transfer window has become

Every day is groundhog day in football's mercifully brief close season as newspapers, television and radio bulletins run an eternal loop detailing whether Cesc Fabregas, Carlos Tevez, Wesley Sneijder, Samir Nasri, Luka Modric or some other ungrateful jerk might be going or staying, or is currently stuck somewhere in between.

He goes to state how pointless having a player sign a contract really is apart from detailing how much they are getting paid, the duration is basically just for show. Pretty good read considering... (it's in the Mail)

Edit with link... Doh!!

hope so for 8m. delac and sebek were highly rated and seem to have stagnated a bit.

hopefully courtois gets a full season loan straight away and keeps playing first team football somewhere

he really needs the experience. if he ends up sitting on the bench each game his potential goes to waste..
